Got a call from 03300432529 claiming they could lower my BT bill. If they really worked for BT, surely they’d know my bill amount without me telling them. Then they passed me onto someone else, but I told them I wasn’t interested in carrying on. When asked why, I explained I’d had loads of calls like that pretending to be BT but actually just scams. The first caller said her name was Daisy, not sure what the bloke was called though.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming I’d signed up to sponsor anti-knife crime booklets. I honestly don’t recall agreeing to anything like that, and when I mentioned that, she told me it was “ages ago in August.” August is hardly ages ago, come on! I told her again that I wouldn’t have consented to that, and she said she’d forward my concern to someone else before just hanging up. Wish I’d asked for the exact date since it was on my work number and I wasn’t even around much during August.

Got a call from a lady the other day, seemed just like the usual ones about helping out with anti-bullying efforts at a local school. It only clicked when she asked if the invoice should be in my name or my company’s. I told her I don’t remember agreeing to anything, and she mentioned someone would review the tape from a January call and get back to me. Then she said she’d cancel the order for leaflets and books to the school and asked if that was alright, to which I agreed. After that, she just hung up.

I got a call from a woman claiming I had already signed up to sponsor an anti-bullying book for some schools back in March. She asked which school I wanted the books sent to and said I could get a £30 discount if I paid over the phone that same day, dropping the price from £189 to £159. While speaking to her, I quickly googled the number and read out a few reviews from this site. After hearing that, she told me a manager would call me back. Nothing but a total scam.

They called looking for someone named 'Ben', just a random name really. When I said there’s no Ben living here, they didn’t bother trying anything else and just hung up. Looks like they gave up and moved on to their next scam call!

I had a call like that too, something about a safeguarding initiative and they said we'd talked before. I couldn’t remember any of it tho. They seemed to know loads about me, even my home address and stuff. Sounded legit but seemed like a total scam trying to trick me into paying over the phone.

Best just to hang up and not give them a thing.

Got a call earlier today from a woman saying thanks for supporting an anti-bullying programme for schools. I told her I had no clue what she was talking about, then she said she'd transfer me to their enquiries team and just dropped the call. Total scam if you ask me.

Got a call earlier claiming they were thanking me for backing some project that sounded like a total scam. They said they'd publish books and send them to schools, who’d then ring me to say thanks. I asked what on earth they meant, said I hadn’t agreed to anything and asked who they were. They said they'd transfer me to a queries department. Honestly, it felt like a right dodgy scam!

Something like this happened to me too. A lady with a strong northern accent called saying we'd backed an anti-bullying project that was doing well, and now they wanted to put our name in some books for schools. They asked for £189. We told them we never promised anything like that, and they said they’d send a recording of the call where we supposedly agreed. Still haven't heard from them. It’s a total con. Seriously, don’t give them any info, not even your email or anything.

I got a call saying I’d sponsored some antibullying books for my nearby school, which I never did. When I told her that, she got quite aggressive. She asked for £180 and said the school would get a certificate with my name on it. I kept denying it, and then she mentioned that the call was recorded and her collections team would call me later. She sounded really serious and convincing, so watch out for that!

Got a phone call from someone claiming I’d backed some anti-bullying thing and that they’d chatted to me back in March? They also mentioned the call was recorded and asked where I wanted a bill for £189 sent. How on earth did they find out my name? I told them I hadn’t bought anything but she just ended the call. My worry now is if they send a bill in my name and it goes unpaid, who’s responsible for that? She spoke with a British accent, so I’m guessing it’s a scam from a UK call centre trying to rip people off.
