Was like they were trying to squeeze out more details. Proper pushy and wouldn’t listen when we said no.7 yearssimilar to what others mentioned, they brought up some anti-bullying thing and said they’d chatted to me earlier this year, which i can't remember at all. i was a bit unsure what the call was really about and then it just disconnected. they didn't even get a chance to ask for any cash. i told them i’m involved with a charity, so i guess that was the end of it!7 yearssome woman called me about an invoice for some anti bullying thing, but it sounded dodgy to me. total scam, watch out!7 yearsThey said we joined this anti-bullying thing and that the results are out for schools now. A woman claimed we’d registered for some Children’s Road Safety scheme and demanded £180.00. She insisted we could get it back through our tax return. The moment I started questioning her and asked for some evidence, she abruptly cut the call. She mentioned that books, inspired by the survey's findings, would be sent to a school of my choosing, complete with my business details included. Additionally, I was informed that I would receive a letter of thanks from the school's headmaster. Interestingly, she also stated that a copy of the book would be sent to me, but I was suddenly informed that I needed to cough up over £180 to cover the costs, 'as previously agreed'. When I requested evidence of my supposed agreement, she claimed that all conversations are recorded and promised someone would ring me back with the proof. As soon as I realised what was happening, I chimed in to say that I was completely unaware and that I presumed there was a fee involved. She confirmed that there was indeed a charge, which set alarm bells ringing for me. I firmly told her she was trying to pull a fast one and she insisted she wasn’t. At that point, I’d had enough and hung up, promptly blocking the number. I explained I wasn't aware of any such arrangement, and then she offered to sell them to me for £150 instead. Clearly a scam!7 yearsIt’s a complete con!
