They rang up without saying who they were or which company they’re from. Kept going on about us having a BT line, which we definitely don’t. Was like they were trying to squeeze out more details. Proper pushy and wouldn’t listen when we said no.

similar to what others mentioned, they brought up some anti-bullying thing and said they’d chatted to me earlier this year, which i can't remember at all. i was a bit unsure what the call was really about and then it just disconnected. they didn't even get a chance to ask for any cash. i told them i’m involved with a charity, so i guess that was the end of it!

some woman called me about an invoice for some anti bullying thing, but it sounded dodgy to me. total scam, watch out!

They said we joined this anti-bullying thing and that the results are out for schools now. Then they hit us up saying we gotta pay £180 to have our names listed as supporters. Total scam, no way we agreed to that!

I got a call from a woman claiming we enrolled in a Children Road safety programme and demanded £180. She said we could get that back on our yearly tax return. When I tried to ask when this supposed agreement happened and asked for some kind of proof, she just hung up on me. I’ve reported it to the police now!

A lady rang me the other day, saying thanks for joining a bullying survey a few months ago. She claimed some books had been made from that survey, which were going to be sent to a school of my choosing, with my business info inside them. Apparently, I was meant to get a thank-you letter from the head teacher as well. She said she was sending me a copy too, but then told me I had to pay more than £180 for it all, “like I’d agreed.” When I asked her for proof that I had actually said yes to all this, she told me calls are recorded and somebody would ring me back with evidence. Of course, no one ever did. It’s clearly a total rip-off.

She said she was with some anti-bullying initiative and mentioned a book she’d published. Also said she'd tried ringing me a while back. I said I didn’t recall any call from her, and then she just ended the call abruptly.

I got a call from a woman who used my first name and started telling me that the campaign I supposedly backed earlier this year was a great success. I cut her off right away, saying I had no clue what she was on about and asked if there was a fee involved. She said yes, so I called her out for being a scammer. She denied it, but I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Just another scammer trying it on!

Some woman called saying she was checking on the books I supposedly sponsored to help tackle bullying. She claimed they’d been printed with my business info inside and promised to send me one copy. She mentioned the books would be sent to a school I picked and then asked for over £180 to cover the cost, saying it was already agreed. I told her I didn’t know anything about it, and then she dropped the price to £150. Total scam, avoid!
