Had a call from a woman who knew my name, not sure how she got it though. She was going on about kids’ books, so I just played along and asked where she’d send them. I told her to pick a nearby school. Then she started pushing for payment over the phone with some discount, but I told her to send me an invoice instead since I didn’t remember agreeing to anything at all.

Got a call from a woman named Louise Green claiming we were involved in some Road Safety thing for school kids. We actually run a centre for the elderly, so I just ended the call straight away.

They wanted to speak to the business owner by their name, but as soon as I told them they weren't here, they just ended the call. They didn’t even bother to drop a name or number. Definitely dodged a bullet with that one!

We got a call here in Nottingham from a lady saying our director had agreed to pay for some kind of booklet. I told her to show me proof since our director never handles phone calls. She got all defensive pretty quick. I gave her a good telling off and then she just slammed down the phone.

I was under the impression that I was dealing with a firm supplying educational materials to schools in our region. They claimed there was an agreement from August of last year where I consented to a payment of £190.

I got a call pretty much the same as the others. Didn’t really suspect it was a scam at first. It only struck me after I couldn’t recall the call until I looked up the number.

Like a lot of others, I got a call about some anti-bullying thing. She said we’d chatted back in October, which I definitely don’t recall. She also mentioned the headteacher at the nearby school, but got the name completely wrong. Then she tried to give me a discount if I paid right then and there. I decided to play along just to waste a bit of her time!

Got a call today saying the exact same thing as you mentioned. When I asked her where she was ringing from, she just ended the call. Such a shame these scammers don’t stick around.

Got a call from a lady asking for donations, claiming I’d promised to back their campaign. I never agreed to anything, so I just told her no. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

This was meant to be about some anti bullying thing - supposedly we said yes back in October and agreed to pay £180, but we never did. They just push you to agree and then slap an invoice on you. When I asked about it, she promised to connect me to her supervisor, but then the call just dropped.

They claimed I pledged to back anti-bullying efforts in schools during a chat in August 2019, but that’s rubbish. I’d remember something like that. Then they said if I paid now by card it’d be £160, not £199. I never said yes to anything, never even talked to that woman in August. If I’d agreed to give £199 to anyone, I’d definitely recall it.

I got a call from someone named Shelley saying I supposedly agreed to sponsor an anti-bullying campaign. I told her straight up there’s no way I did that. She claimed they had a recording of my consent, which sounded dodgy to me. I asked her to send that recording over so I could have my solicitor look at it. Then I asked for her phone number, but she just hung up right away. Total scam if you ask me.

I got a call from 03300431648, claiming I backed their campaign back in September 2019 and they wanted to deliver booklets to a nearby school. They asked if I had a school in mind and where to send the invoice. I said I couldn’t recall any of this and asked for more info. Then they said they’d pass me to the dispute department and just hung up. I’m pretty sure I never agreed to support anything like that.

Some woman rang me saying she called back in May about me agreeing to pay for a children’s book so my name could be listed. Total con artist. When I called her out, telling her I’m pretty handy with tech and had already traced her call, found out where she lives, who she works for - all in under 3 minutes - she just hung up on me. She won’t be happy with what I’m doing to her digital footprint now. Mess with the wrong person and you’ll get burnt quick. Karma hits fast, trust me.

Got a call from a lady claiming I’d sponsored a kids’ safety initiative and that the booklets were ready to be sent once I sorted out a balance of £189. She said she could knock off £50 if I paid by debit card straight away. I told her I wasn’t comfortable sharing my card details over the phone since I had no clue who she was. After that, she just ended the call. Seems pretty convincing, so watch out!

Someone rang up asking for the owner, saying they were the safety officer from a nearby school. I told her the boss wasn’t here at the moment and asked her which organisation she was with. She got really curt and just said she’d ring back after New Year. Definitely sounded like a SCAM.

SCAM ALERT - I got a call from some woman claiming to be part of a local anti-bullying group. She said we’d already chatted about it back in October and wanted me to choose which school should get the booklets, which she said were ready. I told her I’d never had any conversation about it before, and then she just cut the call off without saying anything else.

Total scam alert. They called about some child safety booklet with our business name on it, asking which school I wanted them to send it to. Then out of nowhere, they sent a bill for £189. They claimed I agreed back in July to be part of this. I never got a call before. As soon as I asked for their company info, they just hung up on me.

I got the same thing happen to me - they kept saying we’d agreed to pay £189, which we never did. Total scam, honestly. Hope they get what’s coming to them!

Got a call from a lady named Charlotte about some “road safety booklets for schools.” Since it kinda sounded like a business thing, I thought maybe it was a sales pitch. Then she brought up an invoice for £189 and asked where to send it. I was like, “Hold on, what’s this for?” She claimed I’d said yes to sponsoring a booklet. I was sure I hadn’t agreed to anything, so I asked if there was an email confirmation. She said nope, but they’d send it soon. Still no sign of it here.

Got a call from the same number recently, some woman chatting about sending materials to schools. She mentioned I’d agreed to fund a knife crime booklet for schools, so I just played along. She even said I’d get a certificate acknowledging my sponsorship. Then, out of the blue, she asked where to send a £189 invoice. I told her to stop right there because I hadn’t agreed to anything. She said they had a recording of our call, but when I asked to hear it, she hung up on me. Definitely a scam.
