0330 043 1748 - same deal as others have said. They claim to support an anti-bullying campaign and say they’ve sent books to a school costing £239. It’s the exact same style and all. A woman named ‘Amanda’ has been ringing me for weeks, pushing for payment. When I questioned the supposed agreement today, she said she had a call recording as proof and needed to check with her manager! She even found my mobile number somehow. BE WARNED, this looks like a scam that’s been going on since 2016.

03300431234 We signed up for this about half a year ago, thinking it was a good offer and made the payment. But then on July 10th, a woman rang claiming our advert was already published and they wanted payment now. We told her we never agreed to any ad. She was quite forceful, insisting it was too late to cancel since the ad was already out. We're definitely not going to pay. After seeing these reviews, it seems like a bit of a scam to me, being pressured like that really goes against what they claim to stand for.

A Manchester-based publisher that made educational leaflets for schools has been shut down by the courts following dodgy sales tactics that brought in £2.5 million. Safety Guide Ltd was closed on public interest grounds at the High Court in Manchester, with District Judge Bever overseeing the case on 4 June 2020. The Official Receiver is now handling the liquidation.

I got a call today from a woman claiming she was with Safety Guide, asking if I could settle a payment for anti-bullying books we supposedly promised to help fund for a nearby school. She said the headteacher would ring to thank me, and I could even get a discount if I paid immediately. They’ve also emailed an invoice. We honestly have no memory of ever dealing with this company before. She was very persuasive, but it all feels a bit dodgy and could be a scam!

A woman with a Northern accent called from 0330 043 4059. She claimed we’d spoken in November last year and that I’d consented to sponsor a safety leaflet for local schools. I didn’t remember any of it, so she said they had a recording of the call from November. Then she offered a £30 discount if I paid now (£159 instead of £189). I told her again I didn’t recall the conversation or agreeing to anything and wasn’t going to pay. She just hung up on me after that.

I got a phone call from someone claiming to be from the Safety Guide Foundation, saying I owed them money for sponsoring their guide before lockdown. I didn't remember any such deal, so when they asked for payment, I told them to send me the details. When I got the info over the weekend, I got a bit suspicious and decided to look into whether they were legit. I'm really glad I did, as I might've ended up paying without question, thinking I’d just forgotten. This kind of thing sounds plausible enough to fool people, so watch out!

COMPLETE RIP-OFF! Got a call out of nowhere, and they said I’d already talked to them before (had my name, company details and all) about sponsoring a road safety scheme for schools. They asked for £189, but said if I paid straight away it’d drop to £159. I reckon loads of companies might get duped, assuming someone in their team agreed to some charity deal. DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY!!

Random call from nowhere. They sent me a bill and said if I pay £30 today, it’ll go to the NHS. Really dodgy. Asked them for a recording of any agreement made.

I got a call from another number, (03300432736), but it was still the so-called Safety Guide Foundation. They kept insisting I’d agreed to help with their anti-bullying initiative and that books were sent to the local school in my name. When I said I wouldn’t pay over the phone, they sent me what looked like a genuine booklet and a certificate saying I’d made a donation. Now, since I haven’t paid, I’m getting hassled and pressured by them from different numbers. Even though the names and numbers keep changing, the whole thing just keeps going on.

03366434164 - Ellie phoned claiming to be from Safety Guide Foundation. She said they’d already printed a book and most areas preferred it to focus on anti-bullying and knife violence. She wanted to say thanks to the MD for sponsoring in April, but when I checked, he had no idea about it. Asked Ellie what exactly she wanted, but she just kept repeating herself and then suddenly hung up.

Got a call today from someone called Safety Guide Support saying I’d agreed to sponsor them back in June for £169 for a booklet. They claimed all the booklets are printed now and asked which school I wanted them sent to. I told them I had no idea about this and asked for proof in writing. They said they record all their calls and would get back to me. The number was close to the one above but different - 03300432084.

Yesterday morning my wife got a phone call saying she had promised to sponsor a nearby primary school. The way they spoke seemed designed to confuse her. They claimed they talked to her back in June and that everything was already arranged, just waiting for the school’s name. After checking out reviews on safety guides last night and reading more complaints here, it’s clear this book scam has been happening for ages. I’ve recorded the call and plan to do what I can to put a stop to this. I’ll be reporting everything to trading standards.

Safety Guide Ltd is calling from 0330 043 2595. We originally agreed to pay £169 for their Anti Bullying Campaign back in August 2018. Last week, they suddenly asked for £540, which we refused to pay. I've also asked them, under the latest data protection laws, to delete our info from their records. On top of that, we requested a copy of the purchase order we supposedly agreed to for the products.

Got a call like that too, out of the blue, saying I’d supposedly agreed to help pay for some anti-bullying leaflets at a local school. They tried to get me to pay straight away on the phone for a 20% off. I said no and asked for a proper invoice, which they ended up sending. When you question them, they get really defensive about their customers and sponsors. I heard Safety Guide Ltd have had run ins with trading standards before. Best not to give them any money!

Got a cold call pushing us to pay nearly £200 for some leaflet about bullying, spoken to in a really pushy manner. Feels a bit like bullying in itself, don’t you think? We’ve reported it to CAB, Trading Standards, the ICO and Action Fraud. They all told us not to pay, but it’s still worrying that they might keep chasing us for money we just don’t have. Turns out they called my husband’s mobile using really outdated details since he’s retired now and no longer runs his old sole trader business.

I've fallen victim to these con artists myself. They've got a really professional looking website and active accounts on Twitter and Facebook, but don't be deceived. They’re just leeches preying on innocent folks and small companies. I never gave them a single penny and never will, what do they take me for, daft? They claimed we had a verbal contract, but when I asked for proof - since phone calls are usually recorded - they went quiet and stopped replying to my messages. Luckily, a mate of mine who’s a lawyer is handling it now.

Complete rip-off - just like the others mentioned. They rang to say I’d signed up for this back in February. No way, I don’t agree to stuff without having the details and T&Cs set out properly first. When I asked them to show proof I’d given consent, the lady just hung up on me.

CSG Limited/Safety Guide Ltd, or whatever other name Matthew Ralphs chooses to use, are complete con artists. Don’t waste a single penny on their rubbish. I’ve reported them to Action Fraud, the police, and trading standards, but it seems like even after more than four years, nothing ever gets done. Stay cautious!

Got scammed by this lot just like others have said here. They only delivered 29 booklets to the school, hardly enough for one class. When I called them to ask where the rest of the money went, they started bringing up things that were never mentioned before. I told them me and the school were not happy at all. Then they tried to persuade me they’d send out more books and even an app for the school, just to keep me quiet and stop me from complaining!

So there’s this Safety Guide thing, they ask you to sponsor an Anti-Bullying booklet to hand out at certain schools and want cash for it. Then you get an email with an invoice that ends up in your spam. Also had calls from mobile numbers linked to the same outfit. They keep calling over and over and get quite rude if you question them. I've had to report them to Citizens Advice for harrassment.
