Eventually, when I did manage to get through, the chap informed me that the banks were closed for the day and promised to call me back in the morning to sort it out. To me, it sounds rather odd to have to pay upfront for a payday loan. During our conversation, I mentioned my trouble getting through, and his response was that I must not have credit.
