10 yearsgot a call from someone with an indian accent asking about a person who doesnt live at my address. he said they applied for a loan of £2000 or something. i told him he’s got the wrong number. he kept asking if i was sure then i just told him to buzz off. felt like a scam or phishing call to me.10 yearsI got conned out of £75 by some Asian guy called Phillip Morgan, absolute scammer. Really annoying.Phillip Morgan10 yearsI got a call from this number saying I’d supposedly requested a loan, though I don’t remember using this one while applying on my mobile. They told me I needed to send £68 upfront before they’d release £600 to me. I told them I didn’t have that cash, and the guy turned a bit weird, telling me to ring back when I did. I managed to scrape together the money and tried calling again, but the line wouldn’t connect. When I finally did get through, he said the banks were closed and promised to call me in the morning to sort it out. Never heard of having to pay first for a payday loan! When I mentioned my calls weren’t going through properly, he claimed it was because I had no phone credit - even though I’m on a contract! This is absolutely a scam in my book. When I questioned him, he got all rude and started arguing. I rang my bank straight away and spoke to the fraud department. Luckily, everything’s fine with my account. - caller: 0330 027 018310 yearsI reckon this is one of those dodgy loan firms. I tried calling them back but kept getting a message saying it can’t be done with my phone, both on my mobile and landline. The name they gave was Working Capital 4 U or something like that.Submit Your Own Report (0330 027 0183)
