Dodgy operator, if you ask me. She had an Indian lilt to her voice, trying to peddle products for a firm called House Cell. Suddenly, the name switched to Cardhouse, and then out of nowhere, she claimed they were linked to Phonecard. I received a rather infuriating phone call from someone claiming to be from India. I answered with a simple hello, yet the bloke stayed silent. Suddenly, out of the blue, he asked, “Ma'am, where's your husband?” Naturally, I was taken aback and inquired what he needed. The nerve of him was astounding; he bluntly repeated, “I want to talk to your husband.” I completely lost my cool, called him a cretin, and promptly ended the call.
