Somebody rang me saying they were from Aqua and straight away wanted my full address, saying it was for “security reasons” right after saying the call was being recorded for training. If you ever get a call like that, make sure to check the official customer service number of the company they're claiming to be before sharing any details. If you’re not sure, just tell them you’ll ring back yourself at a more convenient time using the real contact info.

Really annoying call. The person said they were a new account manager but sounded dodgy. Feels like a scam to me. Definitely don’t share any details.

Got a call from this 01622 number, someone saying they were from Daisy Communications. They wanted to switch my broadband to a cheaper deal, but asked for my bank info straight away before they even sent anything in writing about the offer. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

This caller said they were from Daisy Communications and wanted to switch my broadband over, saying they were with BT Openreach. When I told them I thought they were scammers, they got really pushy and quite aggressive. Not impressed at all.

Said they were from BT trying to get you to switch to a “better deal” and kept saying they weren’t scammers, which just sounds like what scammers always say.

Just received a call not long ago. There was absolutely no answer, just a whole lot of silence. I waited on the line for a bit and then decided to hang up.

A chap rang up, pretending to be from BT, stating that they would be slashing our bills. He fired away with a barrage of questions, but when it was time to share our bank info, we swiftly declined. A quick search revealed it was all a ruse. Honestly, how do these folks manage to sleep at night?!

Got a call from a woman wanting to talk to whoever handles the BT bills about lowering monthly payments. I said they weren’t available and asked if she could give me a number to ring her back on, and she gave me this one. The call came from 01622 963744.

Someone called saying they were Gabriel, asking for the BT account holder but didn’t say where exactly he was calling from. If he was really from BT, surely he’d know the account holder’s name? I told him I’d have someone call him back. He gave me another number different from the one on my screen - 01622 963745 - I’m just about to look into it now. I also asked if there were any problems I should be aware of before the call. He said no, all is fine with the account on their end. Definitely feels like a dodgy one to me!!

They wanted to talk to the BT account holder but couldn’t even say the name. Problem is, I’ve never even had a BT account. I called them out on being a scam and said I was about to end the call. They hung up before me!

Just got a call off someone called Connor Ford saying he's from BT. I asked him straight up if he worked there, and he said yes, giving an email like [email protected][###]. They wanted all my bank details (of course I didn’t give anything). I rang BT myself and they told me they never do cold calls and if the email was legit it would have BT in the address. Watch out, this is a scam.

Total moron! Tried to pass off as 'BT' but sounded really fake. Kept pushing to talk to the account owner 'to approve a discount'. When I asked about their company, why they didn’t send anything in writing, if I could ring back (just checking!) and other questions, 'Darius' just got madder and said I was rude. If these scammers didn’t eat up so much of my work time, it might’ve been funny! Anyway, that number’s now blocked.

Got a phone call from some folks called Think, claiming they were ringing for Openreach. They told me they could cut my bills by switching me to a business wholesale deal. Really pushy, even after I told them I don’t trust cold calls at all. Eventually had to hang up to stop the hassle.

I've been receiving calls from this number non-stop, and they're incredibly persistent. They like to act as though they're helping us cut down on our BT bills, but it’s quite audacious of them to assert that we've switched away from BT entirely!

They wanted to talk to the person who pays the BT bill. When I asked their name, they said "THINK TELECOM". I said I’m not interest in any cold calls, but they kept saying they’re not making a cold call. Completely disregarded the TPS list.

Think Telecom "using the Openreach Network" can cut your BT bill in half, but i told them no twice already, and they still kept ringin. The reviews you see here say it all. I told them I was happy with BT and didnt wanna switch, but then they just switched up their script and pushed even harder with their sales chat. Not interested at all.

They said their name was Phink Telecom (had to get them to spell it out) some folks say its think or fink but probs all the same since the number matches. No way was it BT or our usual internet company, tho he acted like it. He must have seen our name in the directory but didn't know the actual account name, which I kept to myself. Told him we don’t accept random calls, he insisted he wasn’t cold calling then just ended the call.

It was Think Telecom calling. They talked really quick and hinted they were from BT, mentioning something about my BT phone bill - but when I asked more, they admitted they weren’t actually from BT. I asked for their phone number, they didn’t give me the full number, left out a couple of digits, then just hung up. Felt pretty dodgy so I reported them.

Had a call from a firm saying they were BT Openreach, but it was actually think telecom. Their site mentions under "contact us" that they’re at think telecom ltd - Maidstone House, King Street, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6JQ, open Mon to Fri 9am-5.30pm. Phone listed is 03300 240 180. Saw some eye-opening reviews on Money Saving Expert forum, defo worth checking out. Companies House records reveal the name switched from Utilise Software Services to Think Telecom, then to National Telecom Services, all on 13 Oct 2017. I’d be careful dealing with them, seems a bit dodgy.
