Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying I’d won some kind of prize. I immediately suspected she wanted my bank info, so I wasn’t having it and just blocked the number.

Provident is definitely a genuine and trustworthy number, no worries there.

Got a text from a number saying something about Provident and a missed Direct Debit. Tried to reply but it wouldn’t let me send a message back. I’m not even sure who Provident is, seems like a spam to me.

I looked up the number with Provident and they said it doesn’t belong to them. Best to avoid calling it.
