Got a call from someone claiming to be the "PPI team". They had my name and old address and said they’d send me a free PPI form that was already filled out, all I had to do was add any products or services I’d used and they’d check in 30 days - total nonsense! A bloke with a Northern English twang called me, and the number seemed proper. He claimed there were 28 firms facing High Court action for fraud linked to credit cards and County Court rulings. Immediately thought, “Here we go, another scam!” I’m retired, don’t use credit, and have no debts or judgments hanging over me. Told him to remove me from his calls, but seeing all the past grumbles, I’m not holding my breath that he actually will.

The person had an Indian/Asian accent and refused to explain how they even got my phone number. They couldn’t properly identify who they were or give accurate details about their UK regulation.
