I received a call that supposedly came from Capital One, where the caller was fishing for my personal information under the pretext of confirming a dodgy transaction on my credit card. Not giving them any details was the right move, as I later found out from Capital One that it was a scam attempt.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent saying we were owed £200 back for some computer support. He kept insisting we had bought something in February 2016, even though we hadn’t. He wanted us to switch on the computer so he could fill out some kind of claim form, but we said no. He wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept pushing, but in the end he just gave up and ended the call.
