Got a text from 63633 saying something about Aeon credit, claiming I hadn’t paid in full and that they’d take action. The message didn’t even say my name or when I supposedly applied. Thing is, I’ve never signed up for an Aeon credit card, so I’m thinking this might be a scam? Tried calling them back but no one picked up. What do you reckon?

RM0.00 AEON Credit: OTP:687969 requested for JADE ESERVICE M SDN MYR 131.20. Valid till 24 Nov 2017 13:46. Call 03-27199999 if you didn't make this transaction.
I never bought anything from zalora.com via my AEON card, so this looks like a scam to me. Watch out, everyone!!!

Got a text from +60143652893 saying something like AEON: RM4299 charged on card ending *****1169 at PL Goldsmith Sarawak. It told me to ring 0327727341 if I had any questions. Tried calling that number but no luck, no answer. Got suspicious it might be a scam, so I searched for Aeon Credit Malaysia’s contact and found 0327199999. Rang that one to check and a bloke picked up. Thing is, he asked for my full name, IC number and phone, and I actually told him. Later, I had this weird feeling and decided to google 0327199999 and landed here, realising I might’ve been duped. Now I’m worried ‘cause even the number I found online might not be legit. What’s the best move for me now? Feeling proper silly for sharing my details like that.

I got a call from someone saying they were from AEON Transaction Dept at Jln Raja Chulan, telling me I supposedly applied for an AEON VISA card on 2 March 2017 at Aeon Centre Mall Kuching and have an unpaid balance of RM 3698.45. Thing is, I’ve never been to Kuching and don’t have any AEON card. The caller, calling himself Mr Lim Chee Keong, acted like he was helping me and said he would block the card for me. Then he told me to file a report with Bahagian Laporan Bank Negara Sarawak at 08 2334990. Watch out for these scammers, they somehow know your full name and IC number!

Got a ring from this number too. Some guy speaking Mandarin told me there was a transaction of over 6k at Johor Baru. He mentioned an AEON Visa card with the last digits 1169, supposedly activated on 03-02-2017 at the Johor Baru branch. He said he was from AEON’s transaction department and offered to block the transaction and report it to Bank Negara. Also told me to file a police report about it. Felt a bit dodgy, honestly. =.= Typical.

I'm pretty sure this is some kinda scam. Everything matches up with what I experienced - same application time, location, transition time, even the card number ending with 1169. I looked up AEON Credit and couldn’t find any account of mine there. Then I checked CCRIS via Bank Negara Malaysia and there's nothing there either. Feels really fishy to me.

This number just rang me up too, and there was someone speaking Mandarin saying I had a RM4k transaction at KLIA. They mentioned a card ending in 1169 and said it was used on 3rd Jan 2017 at Desa Tebrau AEON in Johor Bahru. The caller claimed to be from AEON’s customer support, offering to help me block the payment. They also gave me a BSN report number, 0327884462. What freaked me out was that they already knew my name and IC number!

They’re trying out a new sneaky way to get you, starting slowly. Next thing you know, they might actually show up at your front door claiming you owe money, kind of like some dodgy loan shark. It’s proper worrying how they escalate it all.

Just came across a new dodgy trick - they start off small and then before you know it, they’re turning up at your house saying you owe money, kinda like loan sharks. Proper sneaky way to mess with you.

Got a ring from 032719 9999, some woman said my card was used at Genting and I needed to pay an outstanding amount. I told her I don’t even own that card, but she knew my name and ID properly, then told me to contact 032722 7378 to report. I said I’d check things out myself and ended the call. She never rang again, and the number she gave me doesn’t seem to be valid. So be cautious with calls like this. Best thing is to just hang up and call your bank’s official number if you’re worried.

I got a call from this number earlier. The bloke on the phone spoke Mandarin and claimed to be from the Aeon Card Centre. He asked if I wanted to stop a transaction for over RM4k at KLCC. He even managed to spell out my name and IC number correctly. Apparently, I supposedly took out a card at the Aeon in Tebrau City Johor about a month ago, which is news to me since I've never been there or applied for that card. He mentioned I had an outstanding balance of RM3k and said he’d look into it, but I just hung up and he hasn’t rung back since. Still, it’s a bit worrying that he already has my phone number, name, and IC details.

Got a call from a Chinese woman claiming to be from Aeon credit card. She was asking my missus if she okayed a RM2,000 transaction at Genting. Since we never made any such purchase, we just ended up having a laugh with her.

I got a call from 0327199999 saying I needed to do a transaction with AEON Credit. I tried asking what info they needed, like the name on the account, IC number, or mum’s name. Then suddenly, they wanted my AEON Credit card number. I told them I’ll just pop down to the AEON Credit centre to sort it out. They quickly said alright... lol.

I’m in the same boat-received relentless calls well past 9 o'clock at night. Sourced the first number, 03-2688 8888, to AEON Credit Services, but they denied being associated with the second number, 03-2719 9999. It's raising all sorts of red flags for me since they rang just moments apart! Quite unsettling, to say the least.
