Are you for real? Calling yourself a telemarketer? Real ones are fine but this lot were proper scammers pretending to be from Maybank. They ain't from Maybank at all but claim they are - how’s that not lying? Maybank hardly ever phones you directly, and if they do they’ll just ask you to pop into the nearest branch. These creeps are just insurance scammers trying to trick you into signing up for something that’ll take money from your account every month. Their trick is to get you to say ‘yes’ on a recording so they can prove you agreed to the payments, so Maybank won’t be blamed. Most folks won’t spot it ’cause the monthly fees are small. The insurance they sell is rubbish and just a sneaky way to nick your money regularly. So, tell me, this isn’t a scam? Stealing for a living is still stealing, unless you’re one of them?

I’m more than happy to visit any nearby Maybank branch if I want to apply for something. But getting repeated phone calls during office hours is just annoying. It feels a bit pushy too. Honestly, you really should rethink your marketing approach - phone calls just aren’t the way to go.

Police from commercial crime dept always warn us not to share personal info on calls. I nearly got caught out once. Since then, I don’t pick up when I don’t recognise the number. Best to be careful and stay safe.

This number is genuinely from Maybank, you lot are daft. I got a call at my workplace today, and she didn't ask for my IC number or anything, but somehow knew my mum's name. It’s just a normal security check - haven’t any of you ever done online banking? She also had my old address and other info. What makes you think it’s a scam? Seriously, how can people surfing the net all day still not tell a real call from a con? Don’t just label someone a scammer without thinking. Folks need to earn a living too, but you lot just rudely hang up and rush to accuse them of being scammers. Imagine if your own kids were in this line of work and had to deal with that - would you be happy? If you’re not interested in what they’re offering, just be polite and say no, simple as that.

Haha, I don’t really think it’s fake. I actually emailed Maybank about that number and the credit card offer, and they confirmed it’s legit. I ended up getting my credit card from them without any issues. You could just drop Maybank an email if you want to confirm whether that number is theirs. Good luck!

This number kept ringing me earlier, claiming to be from Maybank with some kind of Chinese New Year promotion. I told them I couldn’t chat as I was driving, which was true, and that I wasn’t interested. But they still kept calling on and off all day, which felt really annoying, like harassment.

So, this lady called me saying she was from Maybank, trying to sell some insurance policy. She even told me her name. We chatted for about 15 minutes and I was almost ready to agree, but when she asked for the last four digits of my ID, I got suspicious and ended the call. That day, she phoned me about 4 or 5 more times, but I didn’t answer. A few days later, she called again from a different number. I answered this time and it was the same woman asking if I was interested in that insurance. I told her if I wanted it, I’d deal directly with Maybank. She just hung up on me. Feels a bit dodgy to me. I think it’s safer to sort these things directly with the company rather than dealing with random calls. Better safe than sorry.
