Are you stupid, you telemarketing jerk? Real telemarketers are fine, but this was a scammer pretending to be a telemarketer. They aren't from Maybank, so isn't that considered lying? Maybank rarely calls customers, but if they really do, they would instruct you to visit the nearest branch. These scammers are telemarketing criminals who just want to sell insurance or some other package that will automatically deduct money from your account every month. They try to get you to say "Yes, I want it" so they can prove to Maybank that you agreed to the deduction (this supposedly protects Maybank from liabilities). Most people don't notice because the deductions are small. These insurance policies are completely worthless - just a scam to legally drain your money every month. So you're telling me this isn't a scam? Stealing for survival is still stealing. Unless you're one of them?

This is a legitimate Maybank number, dumbasses. I received a call today at work, and the person didn't even ask for my IC number and knew my mother's name. It's just a simple safety verification process, don't you have any experience with banking? They also had my old address and other details. Why do you think they're scammers? Are you all stupid or what? After browsing the internet for so many years, can't you differentiate between scams and real things? Stop randomly accusing people of being scammers. They also need to make a living. How would you feel if your son or daughter worked in this industry and faced abusive remarks and accusations of being scammers? Would you be happy? If you're not interested in the offer, just politely inform the telemarketer instead of rudely hanging up and coming here to report people as scammers.

I don't think so! I actually emailed Maybank to inquire about the number and the credit card offer. Maybank responded confirming that it is their own legitimate promotion. As a result, I successfully obtained my new credit card. If you have any doubts, feel free to send an email to Maybank and confirm whether or not the number belongs to them. Cheers!

I received a call earlier from a certain individual claiming to be a member of Maybank's staff. They mentioned that they were keen on providing me with an exclusive Chinese New Year offer. I politely declined as I was unable to engage in conversation at that moment due to driving (which I genuinely was).
