10 yearsA bloke called himself George Anderson and rang me up about some government grant program. When I answered his questions, I gave him some info but then he just cut the call off. He asked me how I was, so I told him straight up I was doing brilliant, that God’s got everything sorted, and that life’s going well. After that, he just hung up. No clue who was behind that call.George Anderson10 yearsAbsolutely dreadful! I was given the impression that I could secure a grant from the government to enhance my home for my disabled child. How on earth are these individuals managing to evade accountability?10 yearsI received a call from a man with a foreign accent who claimed to be representing the British government, saying I had won a grand. I mentioned a couple of times that I couldn’t quite catch what he was saying, and then he just cut off the line. To be honest, I had no intention of calling him back after that!11 yearsI received a call from a lady with a French accent claiming that our business was chosen to receive a grant of £8000. She then asked if I was curious about the reasons for our selection. At that moment, I mentioned that we weren’t interested and hung up the phone.11 yearsI had a rather perplexing call from a gentleman whose accent was quite challenging to grasp, it was distinctly Asian. He claimed that I had been chosen at random by the “democratic government” to receive a sum of £1000. He presented me with three methods to claim this windfall, one of which was a direct bank transfer, yet the other two were completely lost on me, even after I requested clarification multiple times. In the end, I decided it was best to cut the conversation short, cheekily remarking that it seemed a bit off for a government that was slashing benefits to suddenly be handing out cash for free!11 yearsGot two calls this morning from a number I don’t recognise. Rang twice but no one answered. Checked the code and it shows +32, which means it’s coming from Belgium or somewhere around there. Bit odd!BelgiumSubmit Your Own Report (0238900)
