A bloke called himself George Anderson and rang me up about some government grant program. When I answered his questions, I gave him some info but then he just cut the call off. He asked me how I was, so I told him straight up I was doing brilliant, that God’s got everything sorted, and that life’s going well. After that, he just hung up. No clue who was behind that call.

Terrible experience! Someone called me claiming the government would give me money to make changes to my house for my disabled kid. How on earth do they manage to pull this off without getting caught?

This guy with a foreign accent said he was calling from the British government and that I'd won a grand. I told him a couple of times that I couldn’t hear properly, then he just hung up on me. Obviously, I didn’t bother calling back.

I got a call from a woman speaking with a French accent claiming my company was chosen to receive £8000. She started explaining why we were picked, but I told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a bloke with a really thick Asian accent who was pretty hard to follow. He said I'd been picked by the "democratic government" to get £1000. He tried to explain three ways I could get the money, one being straight into my bank, but the other two were just too confusing even after I asked him to say them again. Ended up telling him I didn't believe a government that's slashing benefits would just hand out cash for free (a bit cheeky, I know!) and then I hung up.

Got two calls this morning from a number I don’t recognise. Rang twice but no one answered. Checked the code and it shows +32, which means it’s coming from Belgium or somewhere around there. Bit odd!
