A bloke with an Asian accent phoned me again, second time this week. He claimed I’d gotten a £5,000 loan from Halifax back in 2005, supposedly paid off in 2009. He said if I confirmed these details, they’d sort out my PPI reclaim. I told him I’d never taken any loan from Halifax, and he just said he was aware of that but I needed to pretend I had to get the cash. When I refused, telling him it’d be fraud, he actually told me I was being honest - quite odd!

This number has been ringing me loads. I finally picked up once and the bloke was asking for a Mr Stevens. Told him there’s no one by that name here, but they just keep dialing. Doesn’t seem worth reporting since it’s a Skype number, and they can just swap it whenever they want.

This lot call me all the time, just like a few others have said here. They keep nagging about some refund on PPI or that my computer's got issues or whatever nonsense. Honestly, it’s a proper pain. I’ve been putting up with it since I do real sales over the phone, but these chancers make genuine telesales folks look bad. I’ve had enough now and just tell them to get lost.

Over the past couple of days, I’ve had about 5 calls from someone saying I’d taken out a loan. Thing is, I’ve never done that. They tried to give me a phone number to ring to “verify” them, which obviously wouldn’t prove a thing. They seemed like they thought catching me out by knowing my address and postcode would make me trust them, but that info’s pretty easy to find anyway. Folks can claim PPI on their own without paying a penny, but these scammers just use PPI to lure people in. Total con.

Received a call earlier today. The chap on the other end was of Asian descent and seemed to have all my information. He claimed to be representing either BPI or BTI regarding a reclaim. I hung up, but he attempted to ring me back. I just kept the phone off the hook after that... problem resolved!

I'm absolutely exasperated with the relentless calls from this number! The moment I hang up, they're straight back on the line, attempting to reach my husband. It's rather concerning how they seem to possess all my personal information; I can't help but wonder about the implications under data protection legislation. Can anyone advise me on how to put an end to these incessant interruptions?

what a strange experience that was. this number just rang me up saying his mate hadn’t actually called me by mistake. i told him straight away i’d already told the company i’m not interested and to remove my number. i had to repeat myself a few times but he kept cutting me off asking “but did you know...” i was polite until the 17th call in two weeks when i finally got a bit sharp and said loudly, “what don’t you get about no?” and then he goes and tells me to f. off. classy customer service, right?

So this guy, sounded Asian or Indian, kept ringing me even after I told him I wasn’t budging. When I got fed up and told him to stop bothering me, he freaked out and actually said he knew where I live - he even gave me my address! Then he said he’d come round when I was by myself and do something awful to me. It was really scary and felt like proper harassment. Such a terrible experience.

I've received calls from this number three times back to back! Each time I picked up, I just ended the call without saying a word. What on earth is the matter with these folks?

Some guy called, I could barely catch what he was saying. The moment I asked him what he wanted, he just ended the call. So frustrating, happens all the time. I’ve begun noting down all these numbers and thinking of reporting them for harassment. Heard it might actually work. If more people did the same, maybe cold callers would back off and the authorities might step in. Fingers crossed!

My mum has been inundated with a barrage of sales and silent calls lately, and she's taken to jotting down the numbers that keep bothering her. This particular caller has been relentless, so she thought it best to pick up and firmly request they cease their calls. However, when she expressed her disinterest in conversing, the caller shockingly threatened to 'plant a bomb in her home'. Naturally, this left her quite shaken, leading her to contact the local police. They informed her that it was an overseas number and suggested reaching out to a dedicated service for nuisance calls. In light of all this, she plans to change her phone number and opt for an ex-directory listing. It’s been a frustrating ordeal; she's been pestered by multiple calls from various numbers, ranging from two to four each day, and frankly, she’s had more than enough of it.

I've been getting loads of calls from this number and it turns out it doesn't even exist! It's just a scam, really. These kinds of calls, using bogus Caller ID, shouldn't really make it past the phone networks, but unfortunately, the phone companies aren't actually forced to stop them by the Department of Culture Media and Sport. Totally frustrating!

This number appears to be non-existent. It's astonishing how many calls I've received from it - clearly a scam. These sorts of calls, which utilise bogus Caller IDs, ought to be blocked from the network entirely. It strikes me as odd that the telecom providers aren't obliged to tackle this issue, especially since the Department of Culture, Media and Sport doesn't enforce any requirements on them to do so.

Just got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, his English was really bad. He claimed I was due some PPI refund from an old loan I had. When I asked which company he was with, he started asking for my bank details to supposedly sort it out. I told him I wouldn’t share any personal info and asked him to send me proof of who he worked for. That’s when he hung up on me, so I’m pretty sure it was a scam.

I had a rather amusing encounter with this number. They were rather persistent until I threatened to pop over to their boiler room and take matters into my own hands, maybe even nail them to a tree. As soon as I mentioned it, they abruptly ended the call! Quite the laugh, isn’t it?

I received a phone call from this number earlier. The caller appeared to be of Asian descent and spoke at a bewildering pace, making it rather difficult to discern what he was saying. He claimed that I was eligible to reclaim £1600 from Barclays Bank concerning PPI. The issue is, I've never had any dealings with Barclays! When I pointed this out, he insisted that various banks collaborate with Barclays for PPI. I was highly sceptical and chose to disengage, stating he must have misdialled. Strangely, he had my name, full address, and postcode stored. It’s concerning to think that some firms might be sharing personal data amongst themselves.

They were really stubborn, going on about checking if I had a loan from like ten years back. I told 'em if I was after PPI compensation, I'd sort it myself (not mentioning I never had a loan anyway). Honestly, I can't figure out how folks fall for this, but I guess some do or they wouldn't keep going. Plus their English is pretty hard to catch, and they get annoyed if you don’t say exactly what they wanna hear. Strange bunch.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they were from Asia or somewhere else, going on about a loan from my bank and some PPI refund. After a bit, he passed the phone to a mate whose English was even harder to understand. Then, suddenly, a proper British voice came on to confirm details, which made me suspicious so I just hung up. They kept calling, but when I told the bloke he was trying to scam me, he totally lost it. I’m really relieved I’m not an elderly pensioner - these lot are definitely after people’s money.

Got a call from an Asian guy again, second time this week and fourth since the past couple of weeks. When I questioned him, he quickly went on the defensive and told me to hear him out. I kept pushing back and after a bit, I just ended the call. These calls are seriously irritating - but how do they still manage to bypass the TPS list?

Got a call earlier today from someone with a foreign accent. My missus picked up and the guy said we could claim £1200. He even knew where we live! I just told him to send it over and then said I’d report the call to the police before hanging up. These kinds of calls are becoming way too common and it’s a real shame they can’t be properly tracked or blocked. Such a nuisance!

I received a call from some call centre, and the chap claimed that I was due a refund for PPI. As soon as I explained that I had no such claim and wasn't interested, he turned quite nasty and hurled some foul language at me, calling me a right b***h. I didn’t hesitate to give him a piece of my mind before ending the call. I've since contacted my phone provider to ensure these annoying calls get blocked. What an utter tosser he was!

Lately, I've been inundated with incessant calls from various Asian numbers, ringing me at least three times daily-sometimes even more than that! My phone provider has suggested I consider changing my number entirely, but honestly, that seems futile. I’ve attempted to block these callers, yet they keep getting through. It’s not just one company, but a whole host of them that seem to delight in pestering me repeatedly throughout the day. The idea of altering my phone number feels pointless, especially while businesses can still trade our personal info so freely. It's infuriating!

We get calls all the time from someone wanting to talk to 'Alan', but there's no Alan here at all. They even tried to get our bank info! I've told them to stop ringing more than once, but they just won't quit. On the bright side, it's pretty entertaining messing with them! :)

Got a call last night from a bloke with really poor English who asked for me by name. He rambled on, but I picked up on ‘PPI’ somewhere in his spiel. I calmly said I didn’t believe we had any claim to file, and then he snapped back calling me a liar! I told him to buzz off and hung up. The whole thing made me feel quite uneasy, so I decided to check out the number afterward.

Today, I've received a total of four calls that followed a similar pattern: someone claiming I was entitled to a repayment from PIP. This chap seemed to think he had coached me when I initially took it out, insisting I had settled it, but he couldn't clarify how much or for which bank. When I mentioned it seemed fishy, he kept insisting that I wasn't hearing him out. He had my surname and address down pat but stumbled when it came to providing his initial or my date of birth. He even suggested he’d lose his job (how I wish that were the case!). In the end, I told him I’d be reporting him for making nuisance calls, to which he muttered something about me footing the bill. I reached out to my telecom provider, and they confirmed that wasn’t the case.

Today, I received a rather amusing call from a chap sporting an Indian accent, who claimed to be disbursing £2000 owed to me from PPI. Naturally, I was sceptical and told him so, which seemed to ruffle his feathers quite a bit. I politely informed him that I’m well-versed in financial matters and had already settled my PPI claims, so his offer was quite unnecessary. Undeterred, he continued to prattle on for a good 40 minutes, despite my clear disinterest, until I eventually placed the phone down and chose to ignore his incessant rambling. When I attempted to check the number via 1471, it was, of course, not recognised-what a surprise! This isn't the first company hounding me about PPI, but it’s certainly the first to be so oblivious to my already resolved situation. I do wonder when I'll receive his next delightful call…

I receive incessant calls every week regarding a PPI loan that I’ve never even taken out. Honestly, it’s driving me up the wall! How on earth did they even get hold of my number? I’m fed up with it all and just want it to cease. It feels like harassment at this point!

A chap with an Asian accent called me earlier. He mispronounced my name right off the bat. Then he started droning on about PPI, and I told him it was nonsense before hanging up. To my surprise, he called me back, and his exact words were, "who do you think you are to call it nonsense, you f*cking idiot." I warned him that I'd involve the authorities, which made him hang up in a hurry.

I echo the sentiments of those who've commented before me about this number. When on earth will BT or the appropriate authorities take action and put an end to these incessant cold calls? A fine would certainly be in order!

I've been receiving persistent calls from this bloke who's insisting on giving me money. I played along and told him to send me a cheque, but all I got in return was a ramble in an Indian accent that was utterly nonsensical. My patience ran thin, and I ended up shouting at him to never call back. His response? Something about ringing me fifty times a day! What a cheeky git! I’m definitely investing in a call blocker now.

I've received countless calls regarding a loan that I've never applied for. The most recent was from a chap named Henry, who spoke with a thick accent from Manchester. He even suggested he might drop by for a chat to "cheer me up"! Honestly, it's appalling behaviour from any organisation, and it should not be tolerated! I had absolutely no plans to share my mobile number, my Facebook details, or even divulge any personal matters, including my relationship status!

I receive calls from this number twice each day, and despite my attempts to request that they refrain from calling me again, they've decided to increase the frequency to once every hour. I've given up on answering them, and instead, I simply hang up as soon as the voicemail kicks in. Is there any way to stop them from getting through?

I've received my second call of the day from the same firm, claiming I’m eligible for £1700 in compensation for some PPI loan I supposedly had between 2005 and 2009. Absolute nonsense, if you ask me! I've never even taken out a loan or dabbled in PPI. Having worked in a bank myself, I had no need for such a scheme. The first chap on the line sounded Indian and I let him prattle on until I firmly told him to abandon the call. The next caller, who was from Eastern Europe, got extremely aggressive when I insisted that I hadn’t held any loans during the stated years. I did call him out as deceitful and he completely lost his temper. He went off on one, insisting he was merely trying to assist me and that I was being uncooperative. I chose to remain silent while he let loose, and before long, he was hurling some rather unpleasant expletives my way, including the "f" and "c" words. I eventually hung up. What's particularly unsettling is that he had my address and postcode on file.

Twice now, I've had calls from someone saying they're with a "ppi claims refunds team." They told me I'm due about £900 and kept asking me to confirm my address. Honestly, the guy’s voice was really unclear and I couldn't make sense of what he was saying. After a bit of back and forth and no real explanation, I just hung up on both occasions. Doesn’t feel right at all, definitely seems like a scam to me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who said there was £1200 ready for me. He was really difficult to understand and his English was poor. Got a call from a woman, sounded Asian, couldn’t make out much of what she was saying. She was going on about me being owed some money. I just told her to stop talking nonsense. Never share your details with them!

I’ve been receiving calls from this number for weeks now, and today I finally picked up. It was a bloke with a really thick Indian accent claiming I had taken out a loan of £3500 with RBS between 2005 and 2009 and that he could assist me in getting a refund. I found it quite baffling, to be honest. I didn’t recognise the number and was rather curious about it, which is why I answered. Despite my efforts to explain that I never had any dealings with RBS and had absolutely no intention of discussing my finances with him, he called me three times in total. I firmly believe this is nothing but a scam. Now, I’m off to block the number.

I've received no fewer than nine calls from this bloke in the past fortnight. He's got an Indian accent but insists on calling himself Jack. He wouldn’t provide a contact number for his company, claiming to be from PPI Claims Insurance, and said he needed to send me a cheque for £1600. I don’t have any dealings with PPI claims, so it was clear as day that it was a scam. I warned him that if he disturbed me again, I'd track him down and make him regret it.

I received a call from 03156789121. They completely mispronounced my name, which was rather off-putting. When I inquired about the purpose of their call, the individual became quite hostile and said some rather unpleasant things that I won’t repeat here. I decided to hang up and would advise others to steer clear of this number; they’re clearly not worth engaging with.

I received a call from this number that greeted me by name. When I inquired about who was on the line, they abruptly hung up without a word. Quite rude, if you ask me!

I've received countless calls from this number lately. I’ve resorted to letting it ring through to voicemail every single time. Is there anything anyone can do to put an end to these incessant calls?

This is the fifth time they've rung me today without leaving a message. I'm just not answering anymore because of the annoying unanswered calls. Does anyone know if there's a way to make it stop? It's really frustrating.

I've had about 7 calls over the past few days, none of which I picked up. They never bothered to leave a voicemail.

There’s a dire need to address these incessant phone calls. My elderly mother, who is 91, finds them utterly distressing, and it’s taking a toll on her well-being. Can anyone please intervene and put an end to this madness? It’s really getting out of hand!

I've received calls previously from 03156789121, but lately, the tone has really taken a turn for the worse, with foul language being thrown about. It’s utterly disgraceful, and I refuse to have myself or anyone else in my home endure such nonsense.

They just keep ringing, no message left or anything, probably some scammers. So irritating! Ignoring them every time!

Kept getting calls claiming to be regarding a loan of mine. The thing is, I've never taken out a loan, so I was certain it was a scam. Just decided to hang up.

Got a call from this number 5 times today, I just ignored it and let it ring out. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

I've received about a dozen calls from this number in less than two hours, and not a peep from the other end. To make a point, I even placed my phone next to the telly while it was on loud, so they could catch the news broadcast - and lo and behold, the phone rang again every few minutes, repeating the tiresome routine. I don’t end the calls immediately; I keep them going for a bit to try and add a dent to their phone expenses. What's more, every single call I've had today - not one exception - has come from an overseas number, silent as the grave, and it's been the same scenario each time. As a small hotel owner, it's driving me absolutely bonkers! I’d quite happily have a word with whoever’s behind this nonsense. Why on earth is the government so pathetically slow to address this kind of harassment?

I received a rather peculiar call today. The chap on the other end insisted that I had taken out a loan back in 2004 and supposedly settled it in 2009. When I inquired about the specifics, he mentioned it was for a sum of £3000 related to a car loan from some finance outfit. I firmly told him that I’ve never borrowed money and that my vehicle wasn’t financed at all. At that point, he became quite irate and abruptly hung up on me! Quite the odd encounter, I must say!

I’ve just had one of those pesky phone calls from someone claiming to be from a 'Legal Department' concerning a loan. The caller, a woman with a strong Indian accent, introduced herself as 'Greg' - rather curious, isn’t it?

Absolutely echoing the sentiments shared here! The chap had a rather heavy Asian accent, and I made it quite clear that his incessant calls were becoming a right bother. I insisted he erase my details from his records and cease all communication. He became rather irate, insisting I needed to hear him out. I didn’t hold back in telling him my thoughts! Shortly after, I was hit with another call from the same fella on 02039628186. I’ve since put those numbers on my blocked list.

Absolutely had the same sort of encounter today, akin to what others have described. The chap on the line claimed he was from the 'PPI Reclaim Centre' and informed me that I’d supposedly taken out a £5000 loan with Lloyds TSB back in 2004, which I repaid in 2008, and apparently I’m owed £1400. I feigned a tone of utmost concern and insisted that he must be mistaken, as I’ve never borrowed a penny in my life. To my surprise, he promptly hung up. I’m curious to see if he’ll attempt to ring again...

Received several calls from this chancer asserting that I’m due a refund on PPI. Each time, they were after someone who hasn’t lived here in ages. After telling me to clear off, they rang me five times in quick succession! They only backed off when I threatened to report them, to which they replied with a rather rude dismissal.

Interestingly, they had a chat with another individual in my household beforehand and encouraged them to fib about not having received PPI. What a joke!

A guy with an Asian accent was asking if Miss C was available, so I said yeah. He started off alright, then said he was from some refunds team. I didn’t quite get which company he was with, so I asked him, but all he did was say thanks and hang up. No idea what the call was about. I didn’t share any personal info either. I’d seen the number before - got a few missed calls from it over the past few days and assumed it was the delivery company for something we ordered. Guess I was wrong. :/

Got a call from a bloke who was really hard to understand. I was having some trees chopped down at the time, so I let all the noise do the talking. This wasn’t the first time he’d rang either. He asked if I lived at a certain number, and when I asked what for, he just hung up on me! Proper strange.

I've been receiving repeated phone calls over the past few days from someone purporting to be Scott McCall, apparently affiliated with a loan protection insurance company. This was the third call I've had in under a week! To mess with them, I feigned being my eight-year-old daughter, and the response was shocking-he seemed to be suggesting something utterly inappropriate. It's absolutely tiresome and the Telephone Preference Service doesn't seem to be doing anything about this lot. I have a sneaking suspicion that BT might be trying to charge me for blocking these nuisance calls. In the end, I resorted to putting on a right aggressive Glaswegian accent to frighten him off, but I fear my bellowing may have disturbed the cat!

Got called by this guy claiming he was Scott McCall from some sort of loan insurance company, sounded like he was from Asia. When I told him my number was registered with TPS, he bizarrely tried to get me to have phone sex or something. He didn’t even back off, so I acted like I was a Glaswegian bloke in charge of the house. That’s when he got really rude and started yelling at me. Proper nasty behaviour.

Got a ring from 03156789121, some Asian bloke telling me I owed cash. Sounded fishy right away. I asked him, pretty sharp-like, how he got my contact, and he went on about having my address too. Before I could pipe up, he cut me off saying, "We were gonna give you a refund but I’ll sort it," then just hung up. Tried dialing back but the number didn’t come up. Seriously, don’t share your details with these lot!

Today, just after 3 o'clock, I received a rather unsettling phone call. The caller, who sounded Asian, insisted that I had an outstanding debt with a financial institution. I wasn’t best pleased and confronted him rather curtly, demanding to know how he had obtained my address. He responded rather defiantly, claiming to have my details on file too. This only escalated my annoyance, and I warned him with a raised voice, “Don’t try to pull the wool over my eyes, I want no further communication from you!” He then blurted out something about a refund before abruptly ending the call. When I attempted to ring back, the number turned out to be invalid. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

I received a phone call from this number today, and it appeared to be the same chap with the Asian or Indian accent who had been bothering me last week from 02151215115. Strangely, I couldn't track the call using 1571; it just gave me a disconnected tone. This time, I opted to hang up, but I’m registered with the telephone preference service, so theoretically, these types of calls ought to be blocked. Quite frustrating!

There was the typical silence before some sort of noise came through the line. Usually, I just hang up straight away, but since it didn’t show as “Out of Area” or “International”, I held on for a bit longer. A man’s voice came through, but it was completely jumbled and I couldn’t catch a word. Asked him to say it again, but it was just as unclear. I told him “Sorry, can’t make out what you’re saying,” then he just ended the call. It’s really frustrating, these pointless calls that waste everyone’s time. :(

Got a call today saying I supposedly had a loan about a decade ago and was owed £1800 in PPI compensation. They mentioned it was a joint loan and when I asked who the other person was, they said "John" something. I told them I don’t know anyone named John and then they just hung up on me. Been getting a few calls like this recently, seems dodgy and probably fishing for my bank info. Would definitely be cautious with this one.

This number has attempted to contact me six times within the span of just two days. On the first five occasions, I wasn’t quick enough to answer the phone, but I managed to trace it through 1470. When I attempted to return the call, the number simply wasn’t valid. Earlier today, they rang again, and this time I picked up. To my surprise, I was met with a convoluted tale about having borrowed money back in 2004, supposedly repaid in 2009, and now they claimed I was due a reimbursement of two thousand pounds. I told them I couldn’t recall any loan agreement, but they continued to press the issue relentlessly. Eventually, I had to excuse myself, claiming someone was at the door, and told them to send the cheque by post. How on earth do they acquire our phone numbers, names, and addresses?

Received a rather peculiar call from this number today, claiming it was regarding an insurance claim that I never lodged. To be frank, I’ve not so much as touched an insurance claim in my life! I've since blocked their number, and let me tell you, thank heavens for that nifty device I picked up on eBay. It efficiently blocks withheld, unavailable, international numbers, and you can even add up to 1000 of your own pesky contacts. Life has become so much more peaceful now, seeing as I was inundated with over 30 spam calls a week, which was frankly driving me up the wall. Just thought I’d share that! Cheers, Graham.

I received a rather dodgy call earlier, claiming I had taken out a loan for £6,500 back in 2008. Quite frankly, that's absolute nonsense-I've never had a loan in my life! They seemed desperate for me to play along, so I promptly cut the conversation short. Then, a mere two hours later, the same troublemakers rang me up again, insisting they had a phone back request from Windows regarding a supposed breach of my computer! They kept barking orders at me, wanting me to follow their ridiculous instructions. Honestly, I was just leading them on for my amusement, as I had no intention of complying with their nonsense. It’s infuriating! Something must be done about these unscrupulous individuals. They really are the scum of the earth!

I received a rather peculiar call on the 3rd of August at around 18:25. The chap on the other end asserted that I had taken out a loan way back in 2004, to which I promptly informed him that I had never engaged in such a transaction. Strangely enough, he persisted in suggesting that I should fabricate a story and claim otherwise! I made it clear that this sort of conduct is quite illegal, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. The conversation dragged on for nearly 20 minutes, until he finally appeared to grasp the situation. It's high time action was taken against this sort of nonsense!

On the 3rd of August, 2015, I received a call from this number, and a pre-recorded voice stated, "You are the sole occupant of this household." Earlier that day, I also got a different call regarding Windows, as in the computer software - definitely another scam. I'm curious if there's a connection between the two calls.
