A bloke with an Asian accent phoned me again, second time this week. He claimed I’d gotten a £5,000 loan from Halifax back in 2005, supposedly paid off in 2009. He said if I confirmed these details, they’d sort out my PPI reclaim. I told him I’d never taken any loan from Halifax, and he just said he was aware of that but I needed to pretend I had to get the cash. When I refused, telling him it’d be fraud, he actually told me I was being honest - quite odd!

This number has been ringing me loads. I finally picked up once and the bloke was asking for a Mr Stevens. Told him there’s no one by that name here, but they just keep dialing. Doesn’t seem worth reporting since it’s a Skype number, and they can just swap it whenever they want.

This lot call me all the time, just like a few others have said here. They keep nagging about some refund on PPI or that my computer's got issues or whatever nonsense. Honestly, it’s a proper pain. I’ve been putting up with it since I do real sales over the phone, but these chancers make genuine telesales folks look bad. I’ve had enough now and just tell them to get lost.

Over the past couple of days, I’ve had about 5 calls from someone saying I’d taken out a loan. Thing is, I’ve never done that. They tried to give me a phone number to ring to “verify” them, which obviously wouldn’t prove a thing. They seemed like they thought catching me out by knowing my address and postcode would make me trust them, but that info’s pretty easy to find anyway. Folks can claim PPI on their own without paying a penny, but these scammers just use PPI to lure people in. Total con.

Got a call earlier and the bloke sounded Asian. He knew loads about me and said he was ringing for some BPI or BTI refund thing. I just hung up straight away. Then he tried again, so I hung up and even left the phone off the hook. Problem fixed!

This number keeps ringing me non-stop and every time I hang up, they call right back asking for my hubby. I don’t get how they’ve got hold of all my info with data protection rules in place. Can anyone tell me how to make them stop?

what a strange experience that was. this number just rang me up saying his mate hadn’t actually called me by mistake. i told him straight away i’d already told the company i’m not interested and to remove my number. i had to repeat myself a few times but he kept cutting me off asking “but did you know...” i was polite until the 17th call in two weeks when i finally got a bit sharp and said loudly, “what don’t you get about no?” and then he goes and tells me to f. off. classy customer service, right?

So this guy, sounded Asian or Indian, kept ringing me even after I told him I wasn’t budging. When I got fed up and told him to stop bothering me, he freaked out and actually said he knew where I live - he even gave me my address! Then he said he’d come round when I was by myself and do something awful to me. It was really scary and felt like proper harassment. Such a terrible experience.

This number kept ringing me back to back, like three times straight. When I finally picked up, I just ended the call without saying anything. Honestly, what’s the deal with these callers??

Some guy called, I could barely catch what he was saying. The moment I asked him what he wanted, he just ended the call. So frustrating, happens all the time. I’ve begun noting down all these numbers and thinking of reporting them for harassment. Heard it might actually work. If more people did the same, maybe cold callers would back off and the authorities might step in. Fingers crossed!

My mum keeps getting loads of sales calls and quiet ringers, and she’s been keeping track of the numbers. This one kept ringing so often she finally picked up to tell them to stop. When she said she didn’t want to chat, the person on the line threatened to ‘blow up her house’. She was really shaken and contacted the police, but they just said the call came from abroad and advised her to reach out to a specific nuisance call service. She’s decided to change her number and make it ex-directory. She’s been getting multiple calls a day from different numbers - around two to four - and honestly, she’s fed up with the whole thing.

Over the last couple of days, I've been getting about eight calls about PPI. So far, no one's been rude or anything, just lots of calls.

I've been getting loads of calls from this number and it turns out it doesn't even exist! It's just a scam, really. These kinds of calls, using bogus Caller ID, shouldn't really make it past the phone networks, but unfortunately, the phone companies aren't actually forced to stop them by the Department of Culture Media and Sport. Totally frustrating!

I tried calling back and it turned out this number is fake. Loads of folks are getting calls from it, but it’s just a scam. These spoofed numbers shouldn’t really be allowed on the network, but the phone companies aren’t forced by the Dept of Culture Media and Sport to block them, so nothing gets done about it.

Just got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, his English was really bad. He claimed I was due some PPI refund from an old loan I had. When I asked which company he was with, he started asking for my bank details to supposedly sort it out. I told him I wouldn’t share any personal info and asked him to send me proof of who he worked for. That’s when he hung up on me, so I’m pretty sure it was a scam.

I got a call from this number too, same crap. It wasn't until I told the bloke I was going to turn up at his boiler room and sort him out by nailing him to a tree that he suddenly decided to hang up. Hilarious, really.

I got a call from this number and it was a guy who sounded like he was from Asia. He spoke so fast I could barely catch what he was saying. Apparently, he claimed I could get £1600 back from Barclays for PPI. Thing is, I’ve never even been a Barclays customer. When I mentioned that, he said other banks apparently use Barclays for PPI stuff. I wasn’t convinced and told him he must’ve got the wrong person, so I didn’t want to hear any more. Oddly, he had all my info - name, address, postcode - on their system. Feels like some firms are just sharing people’s private info around without permission.

They were really stubborn, going on about checking if I had a loan from like ten years back. I told 'em if I was after PPI compensation, I'd sort it myself (not mentioning I never had a loan anyway). Honestly, I can't figure out how folks fall for this, but I guess some do or they wouldn't keep going. Plus their English is pretty hard to catch, and they get annoyed if you don’t say exactly what they wanna hear. Strange bunch.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they were from Asia or somewhere else, going on about a loan from my bank and some PPI refund. After a bit, he passed the phone to a mate whose English was even harder to understand. Then, suddenly, a proper British voice came on to confirm details, which made me suspicious so I just hung up. They kept calling, but when I told the bloke he was trying to scam me, he totally lost it. I’m really relieved I’m not an elderly pensioner - these lot are definitely after people’s money.

Got a call from an Asian guy again, second time this week and fourth since the past couple of weeks. When I questioned him, he quickly went on the defensive and told me to hear him out. I kept pushing back and after a bit, I just ended the call. These calls are seriously irritating - but how do they still manage to bypass the TPS list?

Got a call earlier today from someone with a foreign accent. My missus picked up and the guy said we could claim £1200. He even knew where we live! I just told him to send it over and then said I’d report the call to the police before hanging up. These kinds of calls are becoming way too common and it’s a real shame they can’t be properly tracked or blocked. Such a nuisance!

I got a call from some call centre guy claiming I was due a payout from PPI. When I told him I wasn’t and had no interest, he started shouting and swearing at me, calling me a proper horrid name. I didn’t hang about, told him off and ended the call. Then I contacted my phone provider to make sure these annoying calls don’t come through again. Honestly, the bloke was an absolute nightmare.

I keep getting calls from some Asian callers, like three times daily or even more. The phone company told me to just switch my number, but honestly, I’ve tried blocking them and it doesn’t help at all. It’s not just this one lot who keep ringing non-stop during the day either. Changing my number feels pointless since these companies keep trading our details anyway.

We get calls all the time from someone wanting to talk to 'Alan', but there's no Alan here at all. They even tried to get our bank info! I've told them to stop ringing more than once, but they just won't quit. On the bright side, it's pretty entertaining messing with them! :)

Got a call last night from a bloke with really poor English who asked for me by name. He rambled on, but I picked up on ‘PPI’ somewhere in his spiel. I calmly said I didn’t believe we had any claim to file, and then he snapped back calling me a liar! I told him to buzz off and hung up. The whole thing made me feel quite uneasy, so I decided to check out the number afterward.

Got four calls today all with the same story about owing money from PIP. They said they helped me when I first started it, but I paid everything back ages ago. Kept asking for how much, what for and which bank. I told him straight it’s a scam, but he kept going on like I wasn’t listening. He did get my surname and address right but couldn’t say my initials or birthday. Said he might lose his job (not too bothered if he does). In the end I told him I was reporting it as harassment and he just muttered something like “well you’re paying for it.” Rang my phone company after and turns out I’m not paying for anything dodgy at all.

Got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent today, saying I'd got £2000 owed from PPI. When I told him to stop talking nonsense, he just got irritable. I calmly told him I work in finance and had no need to claim PPI, as I’d already sorted it ages ago. But he kept on blabbering for about 40 minutes before hanging up when I just ignored the phone. Tried calling 1471 afterwards, but the number wasn’t even recognised - no shock there. Loads of firms ring up about PPI, but this was the first one that didn’t seem to grasp that I’d already claimed back what I was due. Can’t wait for him to call again… or not!

I keep getting calls every week about some PPI loan that I’ve never even taken out. It’s driving me mad! How do these scammers have my phone number? I honestly just want all this nagging to end. This feels like proper harassment.

Some bloke called me with a sort of Asian tone, but he mixed up my name right away. He launched into this spiel about PPI claims, which I told him was nonsense before hanging up. Then he called back straightaway, and the cheeky sod told me "who do you think you are calling me a f*cking loser?" I said I'd ring the cops on him, and that was the end of it - he just dropped the call.

This bloke keeps ringing me up tryin to give me cash. I told him, "yeah, alright, just send a cheque then." He started mumbling some rubbish with an Indian accent. Got proper mad and shouted at him to never call again. Now he’s threatening to ring me 50 times a day! What a pain, gonna have to get one of those call blockers or something.

Loads of calls from some loan company I’ve never dealt with, it’s mental. The last bloke who rang me had an accent and said his name was Henry, said he was from Manchester or somewhere like that. He even mentioned coming round to ‘cheer me up’ or something daft like that. Honestly, can you believe it? This sort of thing shouldn’t be allowed at all. I never planned to hand over my phone number or Facebook details, and definitely not get into personal stuff like who I’m seeing!

Got two calls today from the same firm claiming I was due £1700 compensation for a PPI loan from 2005 to 2009 - total rubbish. Never had a loan or any PPI policy in my life. I used to work at a bank, so it’s not like I needed one. The first caller had an Indian accent, and I just let him talk nonsense until I told him to piss off. The second caller sounded Eastern European and got really aggressive when I said I’d never had a loan back then. I called him out on lying and he completely lost it, going on about how he was trying to help me and that I wasn’t cooperating. I kept quiet while he ranted, but then he started swearing like mad using the worst words. I just hung up. What freaked me out was that this bloke already knew my address and postcode.

Twice now, I've had calls from someone saying they're with a "ppi claims refunds team." They told me I'm due about £900 and kept asking me to confirm my address. Honestly, the guy’s voice was really unclear and I couldn't make sense of what he was saying. After a bit of back and forth and no real explanation, I just hung up on both occasions. Doesn’t feel right at all, definitely seems like a scam to me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who said there was £1200 ready for me. He was really difficult to understand and his English was poor. This number’s been buzzing us for weeks but never picked up because it seemed suspicious. Finally answered today trying to stop it ringing. Over the past couple of weeks, i've had about 9 calls from this bloke with an Indian accent who said his name was Jack. He wouldn't give me any company number, just kept saying he was from some PPI Claims Insurance and needed to send me a cheque for £1600. Just got a call from 03156789121 and they totally messed up my name. When I asked what they wanted, the bloke got really rude and aggressive - honestly, it was shocking what he said. Ended the call straight away. Wouldn't waste your time with this number.

I got a call from this number and they actually knew my name. When I asked who was on the line, they just hung up on me. Strange behaviour!

I keep getting calls from this number and I never pick up, just let it ring to voicemail. Is there any way to get these calls to stop? It’s really annoying.

This is the fifth time they've rung me today without leaving a message. I'm just not answering anymore because of the annoying unanswered calls. Does anyone know if there's a way to make it stop? It's really frustrating.

I've had about 7 calls over the past few days, none of which I picked up. They never bothered to leave a voicemail.

These calls have got to stop, my 91 year old mum is getting really scared by them and it’s starting to take a toll on her health. Can someone PLEASE do something about it? It’s so upsetting!

I've gotten phone calls earlier from 03156789121, but lately they've begun using foul language. This is completely out of order, and I really don't think me or anyone else in my home should have to deal with this.

They just keep ringing, no message left or anything, probably some scammers. So irritating! Ignoring them every time!

They kept calling me, saying something about a loan. Since I’ve never taken one out, I realised it must be a scam and just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from this number 5 times today, I just ignored it and let it ring out. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

This number kept ringing me non stop, about a dozen times in just a couple of hours, but no one ever spoke when I answered. I left the phone near my TV, with the news playing loud, hoping they’d hear it, but each time it just rang and then silence again. I didn’t cut the call straight away either, figured I’d keep them on the line to rack up their bill a bit. Every single time this morning, it’s been from some foreign number, always the same silent routine. Running a small hotel on my own, this nonsense is really frustrating and I’d honestly like to give whoever’s doing this a piece of my mind. Makes me wonder why the government can’t get a grip and stop these kinds of abuses.

I got a call earlier claiming I took out a loan back in 2004 and supposedly paid it off by 2009. When I asked what it was about, the person said it was a £3000 finance for a car. I told them I've never had any loan, and my car has always been fully paid. He then just got annoyed and abruptly ended the call!

Got a call not long ago from someone claiming to be from the 'Legal Department' about a loan. The lady on the line spoke with a strong Indian accent, which was a bit odd because she said her name was 'Greg'.

Yep, pretty much the same as everyone else said! The bloke had a strong Asian accent and kept ringing me. I told him to stop bothering me and to take me off his list. He got proper annoyed and kept insisting I had to listen to him. I told him off pretty sharp! Then, that same number, 02039628186, called me again later. I've blocked them all now.

I've been getting constant calls from this number, always mentioning something about PPI. Really annoying!

Had a call earlier claiming to be from some 'PPI Claims Centre'. They mentioned I’d supposedly borrowed £5,000 from Lloyds TSB back in 2004 and paid it off in 2008, and apparently I’m owed £1,400 now. I sounded all serious and told him there’s no way, I’ve never taken out a loan before, so someone must be having a laugh. He quickly ended the call. Guess I’ll wait to see if they bother ringing again...

They keep ringing me over and over again. Luckily I’ve got caller ID, so I just ignore it, but with all the other daft numbers blowing up my phone, it’s starting to feel like proper harassment.

Got a call from someone saying I was owed PPI. They kept asking for a person who doesn't even live here anymore. I told them to get lost. They rang me like 5 times in just 5 minutes! I only got them to stop after saying I’d report them. Then they just told me to screw off.

Before that, I heard they'd been on the phone to another person at my place, telling them to lie about not getting any PPI.

A guy with an Asian accent was asking if Miss C was available, so I said yeah. He started off alright, then said he was from some refunds team. I didn’t quite get which company he was with, so I asked him, but all he did was say thanks and hang up. No idea what the call was about. I didn’t share any personal info either. I’d seen the number before - got a few missed calls from it over the past few days and assumed it was the delivery company for something we ordered. Guess I was wrong. :/

Got a call from a bloke who was really hard to understand. I was having some trees chopped down at the time, so I let all the noise do the talking. This wasn’t the first time he’d rang either. He asked if I lived at a certain number, and when I asked what for, he just hung up on me! Proper strange.

Got this annoying bloke calling, saying he was Scott McCall from some loan protection insurance company. It's the third time in three days they've rung me up. So I decided to mess with him by acting like my eight-year-old daughter was on the phone, and then he started hinting at some really creepy phone stuff. Proper nightmare. The TPS doesn't seem to be doing a thing, and I reckon BT want me to cough up to block these calls. Eventually, I had to put on a harsh Glaswegian accent and give him a right earful to make him back off, but I think the cat got a bit stressed from all the shouting!

Got called by this guy claiming he was Scott McCall from some sort of loan insurance company, sounded like he was from Asia. When I told him my number was registered with TPS, he bizarrely tried to get me to have phone sex or something. He didn’t even back off, so I acted like I was a Glaswegian bloke in charge of the house. That’s when he got really rude and started yelling at me. Proper nasty behaviour.

They keep ringing me up nonstop, I picked up just once and could tell it was a scam. It's a bloke with an Asian accent after the auto dial links through. My number’s ex-directory and I’m on the TPS, yet they bother me loads - about three or four calls daily. Proper frustrating!

Got a ring from 03156789121, some Asian bloke telling me I owed cash. Sounded fishy right away. I asked him, pretty sharp-like, how he got my contact, and he went on about having my address too. Before I could pipe up, he cut me off saying, "We were gonna give you a refund but I’ll sort it," then just hung up. Tried dialing back but the number didn’t come up. Seriously, don’t share your details with these lot!

About 3 in the afternoon I got a call from a guy who sounded Asian. He said I owed cash to some bank. I snapped back, asking sharply how they even got my address. He said he had it too. I got really angry and told him straight up, "Don't try and trick me, stop calling me." Then he started yelling about giving me a refund, but before I could say anything, he dropped the call. I tried ringing him back but the number just wasn’t going through.

This number rang me earlier and the voice seemed like the same bloke with an Indian or Asian accent who kept ringing from 02151215115 last week. Tried tracing it with 1571 but it just ended up with a dead line sound. I just hung up this time, even though I'm on the telephone preference service, so these calls really ought not to come through.

There was the typical silence before some sort of noise came through the line. Usually, I just hang up straight away, but since it didn’t show as “Out of Area” or “International”, I held on for a bit longer. A man’s voice came through, but it was completely jumbled and I couldn’t catch a word. Asked him to say it again, but it was just as unclear. I told him “Sorry, can’t make out what you’re saying,” then he just ended the call. It’s really frustrating, these pointless calls that waste everyone’s time. :(

Got a call from this number at 11:10 on the 8th August 2015. The bloke on the other end had a strong accent and said he was calling from BT, claiming they owed me £1200. I asked him to say it again, then just hung up.

Got a call today saying I supposedly had a loan about a decade ago and was owed £1800 in PPI compensation. They mentioned it was a joint loan and when I asked who the other person was, they said "John" something. I told them I don’t know anyone named John and then they just hung up on me. Been getting a few calls like this recently, seems dodgy and probably fishing for my bank info. Would definitely be cautious with this one.

Received a call from 03156789121 regarding a PPI claim for a loan we’ve never taken out. The moment we mentioned that we’ve never had a loan, the woman on the other end started hurling all sorts of offensive remarks. Absolutely ridiculous!

These lot ring me up daily, going on about a loan I supposedly took out back in 2005. When I asked for any info about it, some bloke claiming to be a supervisor got on the line and insisted the loan was actually from 2003. I asked the woman to show me some proof, but she just ended the call straight away. Proper frustrating!

This number has rung me about six times over the last couple of days. I missed the first five calls and just grabbed the number off the caller ID... but when I rang back, it said the number wasn’t valid. Today, I finally picked up, and the caller started going on about some loan I supposedly took out in 2004 and repaid in 2009, and now they say I’m owed £2,000. I told them I don’t recall taking any loan, but they kept on pushing. Eventually, I had to cut them off because someone knocked at my door, and told them to just send the cheque by post. I really wonder where they get our phone details and addresses from.

this number rang me earlier saying something about an insurance claim being denied. i’ve never made any insurance claim though. ended up blocking the number using an app i found on ebay called call saint. it’s brilliant - it blocks withheld, unavailable, international calls and even numbers reported by users, and you can add your own. since using it, my phone’s been way calmer, i used to get about 30 spam calls a week and it was driving me mad. hope this tip helps anyone else dealing with this! graham

They called claiming I took out a loan for £6,500 back in 2008 - which is total rubbish, I've never had any loan! They wanted me to admit to it, so I just ended the call. Then, about two hours later, the same number rang again saying there was some kind of phone request from Windows trying to hack my PC! They kept bossing me around saying do this, do that, but I was just messing with them, didn’t fall for any of it! Honestly, these con artists are disgusting, something seriously needs to be done to stop them!

I got a call on 3rd August around 6:25pm from someone claiming I took out a loan back in 2004. I told them I never did and they kept pushing me to admit I had one, even telling me to lie about it. I said that’s illegal but they just wouldn’t back off! The call dragged on for nearly 20 minutes before they finally gave up. Seriously, something should be done to stop this kind of behaviour!

Someone called asking for Mrs W, but I told them she’s not here right now and should be back about 9 tonight. The caller said they’d ring in the morning, but when I repeated the time and said 9 tonight, they just hung up. They tried again and when I said she wasn’t home, they ended the call straight away.

Some bloke with an Indian accent keeps calling, saying I owe money to the bank or whatever. I told him to send it in writing then just hung up. This guy rings me at least a couple times a week. It's mad that the government cracks down on charities for cold calling, but these lot seem to get away with it no problem.

On 3rd August 2015, I got a call from this number with a strange recorded message telling me "You're the only person home right now". Earlier that day, a different number called me about Windows, like the computer kind - seemed like a scam too. Makes me think these calls might be connected somehow.
