I think Sign Shop, which I’ve heard might’ve gone into liquidation, is still out there offering funeral plans. They managed to start a monthly direct debit of £519.00 for a mate who’s quite vulnerable, using GoCardless.

I was checking our BT line because mum, who’s 93 and has dementia, mentioned some issues. Turns out there were 49 calls from this number adding up to 73 minutes! We’ve told BT about it, and they’re going to block the number now.

My elderly uncle’s phone bill had this number appear, and after contacting BT they couldn’t identify the caller. They did refund the charges for July and August, but now in October we’re facing the same mess again, with extra bills adding up to £55. My uncle hardly makes calls himself but he does pick up sometimes, which I suspect might be causing the issue, though I’ve got no way to prove it.
If anyone else has dealt with something similar or found a way to fix it, I’d be really grateful to hear your advice. Cheers!
