Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, threatening me with arrest for tax fraud. They said if I paid up straight away on the phone, the arrest order would be cancelled. Total rubbish, no way HMRC would handle things like that over a phone call.

This number called me saying to press 1 to be connected to HMRC. The message was something like: you’re now talking to an HMRC officer, if you haven’t pressed 1 and your call isn’t connected, a warrant will be issued in your name immediately and you’ll be arrested soon! Definitely a scam!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from HMRC, saying I was being investigated for tax fraud. She told me to press 1 to give more info. Obviously, I didn’t press a thing. Total scam!
