Hey, just adding on to what I said earlier about this number. Turns out it’s a real HMRC line they use to chase up unpaid debts - for me, they made a mistake with my account though. Hey, got a call from HMRC too. They left a voicemail mentioning my tax ID and said I owed some money because of underpaid tax. Didn’t ask for any info about my accounts though. The whole thing sounded pretty legit and the person had a thick Scottish accent.
