A rather cunning con, if I do say so myself! The documents they provided were absolutely dodgy, and none of the HMC figures made any sense whatsoever. It just felt completely off, and to top it all off, they actually showed up at my doorstep. I've gone ahead and reported the matter to the authorities now.

I received a call from someone wanting to chat with a colleague of mine. It's worth noting that HMRC never makes phone calls; they always send correspondence to your registered business address. This clearly seems like a scam.
