Received an automated call regarding supposed HMRC fraud. If you wish to connect with a representative, just press 1.

I received a rather dubious call, claiming to be from the HM Revenue and Customs office. The voice on the line insisted they were reaching out about a tax rebate and urged me to press 1 to sidestep any legal hassles. They even went so far as to leave me a voicemail with the same warning. However, I never engaged in a direct conversation with them. I opted not to press 1.

Watch out, this HMRC scam is seriously nasty! My mum got a call and they told her she'd be arrested, she was so upset she began crying right there. I grabbed the phone off her and told the caller off, and then the guy with an Asian accent started shouting back at me! It’s honestly such a typical scam these days. Make sure you report these dodgy calls so that others don’t fall for it!

Looks like this R.I.N (Recovery in Nottingham) number, which helps with drug issues and is managed by a consultant, might've been spoofed. Thought I'd mention it.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC but with an American accent, all automated voice telling me to press 1 and stuff. Definitely a scam, so don’t even think about ringing them back!

Got a call from what sounded like HMRC, but it was a pre-recorded guy saying I owed money. It told me to hit 1 right away to sort the payment, or they’d send a warrant to arrest me. Since I barely earn enough to pay tax, I just knew it was dodgy and hung up straight away. Total scam!

Got a call out of the blue, some bloke threatening arrest over supposed tax fraud. Thing is, I’m on pay as you go and they haven’t got a clue who I am. Let them try their worst, I’m not fussed!

I have no clue who rang me from this number, but when I tried calling it back, it didn’t go through at all! Seems dodgy to me, I’d say it's either spam or some sort of scam.

I got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, warning me I could get arrested for tax evasion. They said if I paid them right then and there, they’d cancel the arrest warrant. It was clearly a scam. Just wanted to warn others to report these dodgy calls so more people don’t fall for it!

I'm pretty sure they're just checking if someone picks up, so they can flood you with spam or sell your number to other junk callers. Honestly, just block these spammers straight away!

About half an hour ago I got a call from an 0300 number, with someone claiming I was facing court for tax evasion and needed to get a lawyer. I said I’d ring up my local tax office and then they just hung up on me. These scammers are awful and honestly, the police really ought to do something about these types. Imagine if they rang an elderly person and managed to trick them, that would be heartbreaking.

Got a call on my cellphone from a number I didn’t know, so I didn’t pick up. When I rang back, all I got was a recorded message saying something like “Number not recognised.” Bit strange.

Got loads of calls from this number, but I just let it ring out to voicemail every time. They say there's a warrant for me or something, but I'm still walking around just fine! Never dared to press 1 or anything, don’t wanna take any risks. Bit of a pain, honestly. Best thing is just to block them straight away.

Got calls from 0300 3002200 and 0300 2005520 saying there’s a fraud case open against me and to press 1 to speak with the officer handling it. I just hung up straight away. HMRC wouldn’t reach out like that, sounds dodgy to me. They kept ringing loads, feels pretty risky.
