My mum got a call on her landline from these lot and it really shook her up - she’s in her eighties. I told her to get in touch with the cops, and she did. They’re looking into it now.

Got a call from a number saying 0300 200 9528, they said they were from HMRC and accused me of tax fraud. They warned me there’d be a warrant for my arrest if I didn’t press 1. Since I don’t actually pay tax because I’m a carer, it was pretty clear it was a scam. Definitely suspicious and a total scam call.

I just picked up the phone and listened for a bit, now apparently I’m gonna be nicked! The bloke claimed he was with some fraud unit from home and said if I didn’t press a button or summat, I’d get arrested. So here I am, waiting for the cops to rock up haha, what a joke!

I got a call claiming to be from HRME tax, seemed fishy though, probably some kind of phishing attempt.
