Got a call from a recorded voice claiming it was HMRC, saying if I didn’t press one straight away I’d be arrested within hours. I just sat there, stunned, and then the phone went dead. Such a dodgy scam!

Got a call from a woman named Annie J### claiming to be an officer from HMRC. She spoke with a pretty thick Indian accent and started threatening me with all sorts of penalties if I didn’t pay right then and there. Seemed totally fishy to me!

Got a call from this number today. They said to press one to be put through to HMRC, then warned if I didn’t press it, a warrant would be issued against me and I'd soon be arrested! Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call earlier, some bloke threatening arrest over tax dodging or something. Problem is, I’m just on a pay as you go phone and they haven’t got a clue what my name is. So fair enough, let them try their luck all they want!

Just a heads-up, I got a call from this number where the person claimed to be from HMRC, trying to frighten me about unpaid taxes and possible arrest. Don’t get fooled like I almost did - it’s definitely a scam. Never hand over money or details if this happens!

Just picked up the phone out of boredom and some dodgy HMRC bloke was on the line saying I’m wanted for fraud and to press 1 to find out more. I didn’t bother and just ended the call. If HMRC really wanted me, they’d be banging on my door, not ringing me up!

They kept asking for my name and when I said no, they started threatening me, saying they’d report me to an officer with a warrant out for me! I seriously doubt HMRC handles matters like this. Don’t hand over any of your info, even if they claim to be from HMRC or something similar. I’ve blocked the number now!

I heard that HMRC won’t just ring you out of nowhere saying you owe them money. They apparently only phone about debts you already know about, never surprise calls demanding payment.

I've had this number ring me a couple times, saying there's some tax fraud thing going on and to press 1 straight away or I'll get busted with a warrant. How do they even manage to pull this kind of scam? It's mad.

Someone pretending to be from HMRC told me I’d have a warrant out for my arrest. These calls are serious scams and the authorities really should step in!

Got a robotic voice saying I was linked to some HMRC fraud and to press option 1 to talk more. I don't believe there’s any warrant out for me or anything like that. It was obvious a scam, so I just ended the call. HMRC would definitely send a letter if there was any fraud! These calls really need to be stopped!
