Just got a voicemail saying I’m under investigation for tax evasion and that I’ll be arrested soon unless I hit 1 immediately. I got one of these calls a few months back too, and since nothing happened, I’m guessing it’s a scam. I doubt HMRC would threaten people with a recorded message without first sending any official letter or something. I also called back the number, 0300200884, by mistake and saw others saying the same thing.
