Whatever you do, steer clear of pressing 1! I've ended up with a £7 fee on my bill because of it.

I ended up pressing 1, and now my phone bill has this extra £7 charge on it. If they’re really ringing that many people every day, it must add up to a fortune. Best avoid pressing 1, honestly.

Got a call from them, I picked up and then this recorded message came on, told me to ‘press 1 or you’ll be arrested’ or something like that, then they just cut off. Didn’t want to take any chances so I’ve blocked their number now. Total scam, watch out.

Someone called me saying I was being looked into for fraud and asked for my NI number. I told them no way, this sounds fake. They said they had my DOB, which I found odd. When they gave me a date, it was completely wrong. I pointed it out and then they just hung up on me.

Got a call from this number with some scary robot voice threatening me to press 1 or face arrest. I doubt HMRC would ever do something like that, so I just ended the call. Proper worrying stuff, especially for people who might be more at risk.
