7 years
I picked up the phone only to be greeted by a robotic voice informing me that there was a tax fraud allegation against my name. It then instructed me to press 1 to be linked with the HMRC official supposedly dealing with my supposed case. I mean, honestly? I can't possibly believe that's how HMRC would go about notifying someone regarding a tax probe. Clearly, it’s a scam of some sort. Naturally, I ended the call without a second thought.
