Just received a rather dodgy automated call claiming to be from HMRC, threatening arrest if I didn’t press 1 to speak with them. Little do they know, I actually work as a tax accountant! For anyone unaware, the genuine HMRC never reaches out via phone or email like that. They’ll always correspond through a formal letter or, if you’ve got a government gateway account, a message there. Watch out folks, this one’s definitely a scam!
