I just received a robocall purporting to be from HMRC, stating there’s a fraud case linked to me. They insisted that if I didn’t press 1 to find out more, a warrant would be out for my arrest. It’s nothing but a scam! Stay on your toes, everyone. - number: 0300 215 6973

Absolute scam alert!! Someone phoned my mum pretending to be from the tax office, trying to get her address to ‘confirm her identity’. She refused, not convinced they were legit. Then they started threatening, saying they’d involve the police and come to her home! My mum’s quite elderly and it really shook her up until I assured her it was just a con artist. Watch out, these fraudsters are getting more aggressive.

Absolute sham! They rang my mum claiming to be from HMRC, trying to fish for her address to "confirm her identity". Thankfully, she was savvy enough to sense something was off and refused to comply. They turned nasty, threatening her with a police visit if she didn't cooperate! Being elderly, the whole ordeal really shook her up until I stepped in to clarify that it was just a dodgy scam call and that she had handled it perfectly. Just a heads up for everyone!
