She insisted I could settle the matter for over £2000 right away, otherwise she’d hand my details over to the courts, leading to my arrest! Whilst this conversation was ongoing, I took a moment to search the number on this site and discovered similar warnings. I pressed her for evidence, like my National Insurance number, which she evidently couldn’t provide. She became increasingly irate and abruptly hung up, threatening to involve the police.
