Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, threatening me with arrest if I didn’t press 1 to talk to an advisor. I know for a fact HMRC only send letters, never call. So I pressed 1 and when the voice said ‘hello’, I just said ‘hold on, I’m on another call’ and then blasted a referee’s whistle down the phone for ages. After that, I cheekily said ‘please call me again’. Hope the poor scammer got ringing ears! If you get one of these dodgy calls, try the whistle trick, it’s hilarious. Reckon they won’t bother me again anytime soon. Proper LOL!

Indeed, I just took a call from this number, and it turned out to be a robotic voice claiming to be from HMRC, alleging that I was under investigation for fraud. They warned me that failure to press 1 would lead to imminent arrest! Quite alarming, but I sensed a scam and swiftly searched for the number online!

So I picked up and this lot started going on about how they're all related, like brothers and sisters who mess around together. Then they invited me to some party out on a farm they go to, where apparently they marry animals and then have s ex with them. Proper twisted bunch, honestly disgusting.

I suspect this might be a scam masquerading as an HMRC fraud alert. As someone who is employed by HMRC, I got a call from this number, and it definitely isn’t one belonging to HMRC. They were asking me to press 1, which raised an alarm. I intend to report this to HMRC right away.
