My wife got a call from someone saying she was involved in fraud. They told her not to hang up and to go to Morrison's or WH Smith immediately. When I got back, she was absolutely shaken up. If I ever find these idiots, they’ll get a real fright from me.

Got a call from some Indian call centre folks claiming to be a UK company. They tried to trick me into handing over my card info. If anyone rings saying they're from BT, HMRC or British Gas, don’t trust them. They’re just after your card details, that’s all.

Just got a call from numbers 03002006610 and 03002000027, saying the police are on their way to arrest me for not paying £491 tax. They told me to pay that right now or else I’d have to cough up £389 in 10 minutes, or I’d be arrested in half an hour. Proper scary stuff!

Got a call from 0300 200 6610, they kept insisting I owed money. I said no thanks, thought it might be some sort of scam. Asked them to send proof in writing but they just told me I’m not a VIP, just a regular person. Then they said I owed money on a Hyundai car, which is hilarious as I don’t own any car at all! They even threatened the police would show up to arrest me. Bit sketchy if you ask me.
