I’m getting donwright fed up with getting like two calls every day and I just hang up straight away. It’s such a pain. I keep blocking each number, but the next day it’s a new one ringing me. I’ve reported it to the ICO now. Proper annoying!

I ended up going back and forth with him, and surprisingly, he argued back. Feels legit, but definitely don’t fall for it. Last week, I had a bunch of calls from similar numbers. I got a call this week from an Asian guy claiming to be David Brown from HMRC, saying I’m involved in tax fraud and need to pay or I’ll be arrested. He sounded like he was reading straight off a script. I ended up arguing with him, and surprisingly, he argued back like it was a proper conversation. Seems legit but don’t fall for it. I received a rather alarming call from this number earlier today. Upon picking up, I was greeted by a pre-recorded message claiming to be from HMTC, stating that there was some sort of claim in my name and that failure to press 1 promptly could result in my arrest. Naturally, I pressed 1 and was connected to a person who enquired if I was indeed (my name). I asked for clarification on what the call was regarding, to which he simply reiterated that he was with HMTC before the line suddenly went dead. I must admit, it's quite concerning. Has anyone else encountered a similar situation?

I just got a call from someone saying I owe £940 for tax fraud and that I’ll get arrested if I don’t pay up. I told him to send the coppers if that’s true. Absolutely dodgy bloke, I told him to get lost and to go back to Syria or wherever he came from.
