Received a recorded message pretending to be from HMRC. I hung up immediately because those types of calls can rack up quite the bill, and let’s be honest, if HMRC genuinely needed to get in touch, it would be a real person on the line! So, I reached out to HMRC directly, and they confirmed that there’s nothing they wish to talk about. They're well aware of these dodgy calls that are troubling folks. It seems scammers are banking on the fear factor associated with HMRC to manipulate people into complying. Fingers crossed that no one gets duped by this nonsense!
