I've been getting these dodgy calls where some recorded voice claims you’re being looked into by HMRC and urges you to ring a certain number or you’ll get into big trouble. When I tried calling the number back out of curiosity, I bet it’s just some scammers trying to pinch your bank info and steal your money. Total con!

Beware of scammers claiming to be from HMRC! The real HMRC only makes phone calls if they’ve previously sent you a letter and there’s an ongoing case. They don’t just ring out of the blue.
