Upon picking up the call, I was met with a pre-recorded voice asserting that there was a fraudulent case filed against me by HMRC. It went on to say that if I didn’t press 1 to connect with someone to sort the issue out, I could expect an arrest imminently. Honestly, it was rather chilling, and I can't help but wonder how they managed to obtain my phone number in the first place.

I received a call from someone claiming to be investigating a fraudulent activity linked to me, stating that I’m on the verge of being arrested by HMRC for fraud. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!
