A few days back, I got a call on my mobile from someone pretending to be HMRC. The recorded message said I was being looked into for tax fraud. I ended the call straight away. Then today, another call came from a number that looked almost the same, and I reported that one too.

Got a ring from this number earlier today, someone pretending to be from HMRC. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to talk to an officer, said I was at risk of arrest over unpaid taxes. As soon as I hit 1, the call dropped straight away. Proper frustrating!

Got a robotic call warning me about an HMRC fraud investigation and telling me to press 1 or they'd send an arrest warrant. Definitely a scam.
