My missus got a phone call about supposedly being mixed up in some tax fraud thing, and they said to press 1 to talk to someone or she'd get arrested. Then the bloke started trying to get all her info. When she said she wasn’t comfortable sharing anything, he just hung up. The caller had an African accent. Totally sounds like a scam to me!

Just like the others mentioned, this person said they were from HMRC and told me to press 1 or I’d get arrested soon. I reckon if you do press 1, they might try to charge you for something. I just ended the call straight away, clearly a scam but it could easily panic some folks!
