Just got a call from 0300 200 3158, and it was one of those automated messages claiming to be from HMRC. They said my name’s been flagged for tax fraud and threatened arrest unless I hit number one straight away. Sure, like I’m falling for that!

Don’t fall for this, it’s definitely a scam! I got the exact same voicemail as some others have mentioned here. HMRC wouldn’t call you up to talk about something like that, no way.

Someone called me from the number 0300 200 3158 and claimed they were from HR Revenue. They said there’s a criminal case opened against me and if I want to avoid it, I have to pay £2,200 in cash right away. They insisted that if I pay, the case would be dropped. It sounded really dodgy, so just a heads up - don’t pick up if this number rings you!

Just like others have said, this call is a scam where they try to pass off as HMRC. Be careful!
