(0300 200 3044) Watch out, this number is a scam pretending to be HMRC! I picked up the phone and an automated voice told me to press 1. Next, a message came through saying: "There's a warrant out for your arrest!" They claimed HMRC had flagged my name and address for fraud. They warned if I didn’t respond, an arrest warrant would be put out. Don't fall for it and be sure to contact the real HMRC using their official number to report this scam!

Watch out, this is a scam pretending to be from HMRC! I picked up and got an automated voice asking me to press 1. After that, some recorded message said, "There’s a warrant for your arrest!" It claimed HMRC had my details and accused me of fraud. They threatened that if I didn’t respond, I’d be arrested. 0300 200 3046 I received a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC about fraud. They told me to press 1 or I'd be arrested shortly. This happened while I was stuck in heavy London rush hour traffic. I felt really anxious trying to focus on the road.

I told them right away that the call was being recorded, then hit 1 just to see what would happen, and they hung up pretty sharpish. I bet they’ve got a bunch of other numbers lined up with different options on their end. Fingers crossed someone can track them down eventually.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from HMRC about some tax fraud. When I told them I work for the government and that it couldn’t be true, they just hung up on me. I tried ringing back but no answer. They said there was a warrant out for me and asked if I had a lawyer I could contact??? I’m really shaken up, should I report this to the police to check if it’s legit? Has anyone else had a weird call like this?

They kept callin me like 4 times in under 5 mins, so I picked up just to see what they wanted. Then they go on about some arrest warrant for me, lol. I said I guess I'll just go to the local cops then, and before I could finish they just cut me off! Hilarious!

Got a call supposedly from HM Revenue & Customs claiming there’s a tax fraud case filed under my name. After a recorded message, it went to a voicemail that sounded American, which was odd. The call got stuck in a queue and I ended up hanging up. Tried calling back the number but it wouldn’t connect. Pretty clear it’s just a scam.

Caught this dodgy phone scam on the telly the other day. They say press 1 or there’s a warrant for your arrest - sounds proper threatening straight away. Mate of mine in the police told me loads of people have been ringing in worried about this exact thing. If it were legit, they’d know your real name and HMRC don’t ring you with recorded messages like that. How on earth would they even have my number? Total rubbish, complete scam. I’ve blocked the number now.

This is the third call I've gotten from this set of numbers. The last couple ended in 88 and 67, and now this one popped up. Haven't picked up any of them though. Decided to look them up here before I do anything.
