This bloke rang me saying he’s Adam Jones and gave me some case file number along with an ID and another case reference, telling me to sort it out out of court straight away. When I asked for a number to call him back on, he said he couldn’t ring me on the same number he used but that I should ring 0309200300 instead. It sounded pretty believable, especially for older folks.

These Asian scammers are total lowlifes, always threatening arrest if you don’t cough up the money. Absolutely disgraceful stuff.

This guy, calling himself Mike Joseph, claimed he was with HMRC. I told him straight up, "Do you honestly think I'm daft?" and he actually said yes! He went on to threaten that the police would show up at my house in half an hour to arrest me for tax fraud and filing fake tax returns. I told him I don’t even bother sending tax returns, but he just kept going on like I was definitely getting nicked.

Got a call from someone saying they were officer Mark Wattson, sounded Indian, threatening to arrest me if I didn’t pay up right away. They gave me some batch ID 16045562019004692 and mentioned arrest number 2014-2017. Said I owed £4950 for tax fraud or something. Definitely a scam.

I've been seeing loads of calls from this number recently. I just ignore it and always look it up here before deciding to block. Keeps things simple!

I missed most of it but heard at the end something about me possibly being arrested, it was some kind of automated call.

I got a call from a woman who said she was from China, claiming there was an arrest warrant against me for tax fraud. She insisted I hand over my national insurance number, threatening to send a cop round if I didn’t. She even mentioned my old address, but when I said I didn’t live there anymore, she just called me a liar. Quite the dodgy call!

Got a call from 0300 200 3300 or 02071939632, some bloke called Mark Watson from HMRC. He mentioned I owed £4950 for tax dodging between 2012 and 2017, gave me some reference numbers like 1604556 and arrest number 18004692. Told me not to cut him off and said I could speak once he was done. I just kept quiet and kept saying yes to keep him going.

They tried saying it was HM Revenue & Customs, pretty sneaky how they kept me on the line, but I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from 0300 200 3300 but there was no one speaking on the other end. I left it hanging for around 10 seconds before they just hung up. Quite odd really.

I picked up and there was just silence on the other end. After about 15 seconds of nothing, they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC and warned me about a tax fraud arrest. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to speak to an HMRC agent. Sounded dodgy to me.

I keep getting calls from this number, but there's never anyone on the line. They just hang up as soon as I pick up. I'm starting to think it's some sort of automated system or a telemarketer of some kind. Quite baffling, really!
