7 yearsThis bloke rang me saying he’s Adam Jones and gave me some case file number along with an ID and another case reference, telling me to sort it out out of court straight away. When I asked for a number to call him back on, he said he couldn’t ring me on the same number he used but that I should ring 0309200300 instead. It sounded pretty believable, especially for older folks.Adam Jones7 yearsThese Asian scammers are total lowlifes, always threatening arrest if you don’t cough up the money. Absolutely disgraceful stuff.7 yearsThis guy, calling himself Mike Joseph, claimed he was with HMRC. I told him straight up, "Do you honestly think I'm daft?" and he actually said yes! He went on to threaten that the police would show up at my house in half an hour to arrest me for tax fraud and filing fake tax returns. I told him I don’t even bother sending tax returns, but he just kept going on like I was definitely getting nicked.Mike JosephHMRC7 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were officer Mark Wattson, sounded Indian, threatening to arrest me if I didn’t pay up right away.
