got a call from what looked like hmrc but it was prob a scam, they rang me from a bunch of 0300 200 numbers ending in 9702, 1467, 2923 and 6640. total rubbish, wouldnt trust them for a sec.

got a robocall saying there’s some hmrc fraud case against me and to press 1 for details. these scammers are really slick, acting like they’re from hmrc. loads of people got real secure message alerts from hmrc in the last couple of days, but loads haven’t opened them yet. those msgs are about old tax years, nothing to do with any fraud, but it kinda makes this scam more believable.

I got a call from 0300 200 2923 saying my account was compromised and that I owed a big debt. I didn’t wait around to get any details and just ended the call straight away!

Just got a robo call saying I had a fraud case with HMRC and to press 1 for info. I ended the call, but if anyone actually hits 1, they might get charged or have their personal info stolen. Watch out for this kind of scam!

They kept calling, but I don’t pick up if I’m not sure who it is. Weirdly, they didn’t bother to leave any message either!

There’s no doubt this is a con, and they keep switching up the phone numbers they call from.
