Seems like a proper con to me. A robotic voice claimed to be from HMRC and said if I didn’t hit 1 straight away, they’d get a warrant out for me and I’d be arrested. Complete rubbish. HMRC never uses automated calls, and they definitely wouldn’t threaten to arrest someone over the phone like that.

Got a recorded call claiming to be from HMRC sayin I'd be arrested soon for some tax fraud. It said to press 1 to chat with an advisor, but as soon as I did, the line just cut off. Pretty clear it was a total scam.
