Had another call from someone pretending to be HMRC. They were pushing me hard, saying I had to decide immediately or they’d send out a warrant and I’d get arrested soon after. Definitely a scam, stay careful!

I recently got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, telling me there was some problem with my tax refund or that I owed money on taxes. They even left a voicemail asking me to ring them back. Just a heads up, don’t fall for it. HMRC wouldn’t get in touch like that or ask for sensitive stuff like your bank details over the phone. It’s definitely a scam.

there’s been a HMRC tax scam going around where they say there’s an arrest warrant out for you, all to trick you into handing over your details and paying up. luckily i nearly got caught out but stopped before they could steal any cash. i called them out on being scammers and the bloke got all nervous and just hung up. stay sharp everyone!

I got a call from some bloke with an automated voice claiming to be from HMRC. He kept saying there was a fraud investigation on my name and told me to hit 1. He warned that if I didn’t press 1 or the call dropped, I'd be arrested soon. But I’d already spoken to HMRC earlier this week, and everything with my tax payments and code was spot on, so it was clearly a scam.
