Got a recorded call pretending to be from HMRC saying I was involved in tax fraud and I needed to press 1 to talk to an officer. When I did, the person on the other end asked for my name. I didn’t want to give it, figured if it was really HMRC, they’d already have that info. After I refused, they started threatening me, saying my details would be sent to an officer with an arrest warrant. Honestly, this didn’t sound like how HMRC operates at all - pretty sure it’s a scam. Be careful and never share your personal info during calls like this!

Had a call from someone pretending to be from HMRC about some tax dodging - turns out it's another one of those scams run by groups over in India. They’re real pros at trying to intimidate you and trick you into handing over money right there on the call. Watch out for these lot, they’ll mess your life up if you fall for it. There isn't an arrest warrant or anything, it’s all just a big con!

I got a text from someone claiming it was HMRC about a court case for tax issues. Can't say I'm worried since I just paid a big chunk recently. If you get this kind of call, best to just brush it off - it’s just a spammy scam.
