This number rang me twice earlier, with someone pretending to be from HMRC. They said I was being investigated for fraud and threatened that if I didn’t hit '1' to speak to them, I’d get a warrant for arrest. I cut the call immediately and didn’t press anything. Has anyone else had this sort of call from them?

Got two calls earlier today from this number, they said they were from HMRC and told me there’s some fraud case against me. They said if I didn’t press ‘1’ they’d send a warrant for my arrest or something. I just ended the call immediately. - caller: HMRC

I got a call from an unknown number warning me I was gonna get arrested for identity fraud. When I tried ringing them back, the number just said it wasn't available. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
