I received a rather alarming automated call from 0300 200 0575, along with others like 0300 200 6959 and 0300 200 6377. The message stated, “You’re being investigated for fraud by HMRC. Press 1 to connect with an agent immediately. If you don’t comply, you will receive a formal accusation in the post, or worse, the police will get involved and you risk being arrested.” It all sounded quite dodgy to me!
