I can confirm that this number is genuine! Definitely not a dodgy one. I obtained it from the National Insurance helpline after giving them a call. However, when I tried to reach it, I was told it wasn't valid. Quite puzzling, really!

I received a letter from HM Revenue and Customs, and to my shock, it had this dodgy number listed as their contact. I gave it a ring, but the message was barely audible. Foolishly, I ended up leaving my personal info in a voicemail. I’m absolutely flabbergasted that HMRC would allow a scammer's number to be provided for contact! What are they playing at?

Can you believe it? I was handed this phone number by a chap from HMRC, of all places! Initially, I rang 0300 200 0629, the official HMRC line, and he provided me with a number to reach their Subject Access Request team. He called himself Michael-no surname, naturally; accountability seems to be a thing of the past these days. The number he insisted I use (today being the 17th of February, 2020) is 0300 056 0629. However, every time I attempt to call, all I receive is an automated message saying, 'We’re sorry, but your call didn’t connect. Please try again later.' After countless attempts with no luck- and let's not forget, I’m footing the bill for these calls- I’m left wondering how on earth to lodge a complaint against HMRC. Does anyone have any idea how I might go about it?
