Got a call supposedly from HMRC saying it was a routine check or courtesy call. They already had my middle initial and name which was a bit off. I reckon they were gonna try the old refund trick and ask for my bank info (happened to me last time). When I challenged them about it being a scam, the bloke seemed to lose his cool and couldn’t keep up with what he was saying.
