I got a call from someone who claimed I’d just clicked on a Tesla ad - which I have in the past but not lately. They started off asking some genuine questions about the car, which caught me off guard. Then the chat suddenly switched to some investment stuff and a ton of persistent questions. It took quite a bit of effort to politely end the call without sounding harsh. Honestly, they were pretty smooth at talking, could probably talk anyone into anything!

They rang saying they were from HMRC but didn’t even get my name right. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.
