scam alert. really dodgy and not legit at all. hmrc (or benefit folks, banks, or even scrap collectors) don’t ring you up. they always send letters, never phone calls. i really hope anyone who got called didn’t give out any personal details. government offices don’t work on sunday mornings and defo don’t call out like that. already told the police and those online fraud teams.
