Got a call from a lady who claimed she's with the Queen’s office, saying I owed loads of tax money! Turns out it was one of those HMRC scam calls that everyone’s talking about. These scammers from India try to freak you out, threatening to send the cops round in an hour if you don’t pay up on the phone. Quite worrying if you haven’t heard of these scams before!

Really odd experience. At first, the phone had that classic English ring, then suddenly it changed to an American one... totally confusing! A lady answered and mentioned she’d connect me to a senior officer. Next thing, a bloke with a thick Indian accent came on, saying he was from HM Revenue & Customs. He started talking about some fraud and that there was a warrant for my arrest. I didn’t hang about and just ended the call - pretty sure it was another HMRC scam.

I picked up just for a laugh and some bloke pretending to be from HMRC said there was a warrant for my arrest because of fraud stuff. He told me to press 1 to hear more. I just ended the call straight away. If it was really HMRC, I reckon they’d be banging on my door by now!
