The phone rang incessantly three times in quick succession just a minute apart during the late hours, so I decided to block the number.

Just to back up what's already been said, this number belongs to Newham Telecare Network - they deal with emergency alert devices for elderly or vulnerable folks. They ring you from this line either to carry out a check on your TeleCare setup or if you’re listed as the next of kin. I received a call at around 7:50pm today to do a system test at home. It’s a genuine contact, definitely not a scam!

THIS NUMBER BELONGS TO NEWHAM NETWORK TELECARE. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING AN EYE ON ALERT DEVICES FOR PEOPLE WHO MIGHT NEED ASSISTANCE IN EMERGENCIES. SO IF YOU SEE THIS CALL, DONT JUST IGNORE IT. THEY COULD BE TRYING TO REACH YOU AS AN EMERGENCY CONTACT IF YOUR RELATIVE HAS HAD SOME SORT OF ISSUE. THAT'S ALSO WHY THEY MIGHT RING REALLY LATE, LIKE AROUND 1:30AM.
